I live the Flex for its versatility and styling.

My wife and I were so impressed with our 2009 Ford Flex Limited that we traded it in for a 2013 Flex Limited. Same color more option. Very happy with value the value and reliability of this vehicle.

I love everything about this car!

I had this car for two-and-a-half years and honestly I don't have anything to bad to say about it. I love how roomy it is and how smooth it drives. The amount of room and comfort in the second row is really incredible and not easy to find in other vehicles.

Sleekest car I've owned

Beautiful car with a smooth drive. I love it but with 4 growing boys we needed more room. I loved the loo profile look to it.

Spacious and fun to drive!

We have loved our Flex - it is spacious with more than adequate room for a family with 3 growing boys. It is powerful, smooth and fun to drive. It navigates well in the mountains and also in the winter as an AWD. We have loved the remote start, too. It is on the expensive side, but comes with lots of perks. The 2013 model has had some issues with door sensors malfunctioning, but nothing that impairs its functionality. Highly recommend!

Great value but not as reliable as could be

We owned our '13 Flex Limited AWD Ecoboost for about 2.5 years. Started with 18k miles, traded it in with 39k miles. Things we loved: all the tech and creature comforts, our car was loaded (original MSRP was $50k); the look of the vehicle; the power (for a 4800lb car it definitely moves when you want it to); and the space (it's bigger than it looks, especially inside). What we didn't like: the AWD system - this could be just an issue with our specific vehicle and not all Flexes, but we had a major transmission repair at just 25k miles. Thankfully it was covered under warranty. We live in a snowy part of the country, one of the reasons we bought the AWD version, but the AWD system shuts down right when you need it the most. From the research I've done, it seems that the system that diverts power to the tires with traction can become overloaded and overheated, and when that happens, it will shut down and revert to FWD rather than self-destruct. Which is good, but it shouldn't become overloaded in the first place, it should be engineered better to handle these conditions. This happened to us almost every time the snow fell at a pace that made roads slippery, which here in upstate NY can be several times a week in the winter. Losing AWD in the snow unexpectedly is annoying and frustrating at best, and dangerous at worst. However, aside from this issue, we loved the car, and would still recommend it, just maybe with an additional recommendation of snow tires to go with it if you live where it snows a lot.

Love this car

Absolutely perfect car to haul kids, dogs, project materials, you name it. I got this car when we found out we were having a second child. We also had two big dogs at the time. Threw some weathertech mats in the back and it became the haul-O-matic. I also do a lot of work working and projects in the house that require trips to Menards, Home Depot, and Lowe?s. This car can fit full 8 foot boards with the seats down, which makes doing projects a lot easier. I can load this baby up and not have to worry about having materials delivered or renting a truck. The amount of stuff you can pack into this vehicle is actually impressive. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants a versatile vehicle that is not only powerful enough to tow something but comfortable enough to make it a vehicle you WANT to drive. I cannot stress enough how much you can put in here. If you like to take road trips or do a lot of family transport, it?s easy in and easy out with the ridiculous second row leg room. My father in law, who is 6? 3? can comfortably sit in the second row with plenty of leg room. Car seats fit well for that same reason. Seriously, try a flex!!

The stylish family box on wheels!

The Ford Flex is a strong example of ingenuity at work! Ford hit a home run with this vehicle. You either love this one or hate it; that is, until you drive one with a family of 5 and realize just how useful this crossover really is! We can fit our three kids in the second row, no problem, with ample room in the third row for options if desired. Need to fit a lot of cargo in the back? Just a simple 2 step process transforms the third row into the same space as larger SUV's... but doesn't involve disconnecting seat belts or sliding second row bucket seats up. Oh, and did I mention the size of the rear doors? They are much larger than one would expect making getting in and out, buckling kids in, and moving stuff around much easier. The only down fall is performance... while this car will get up and go... it's not the same as a mid-sized sedan. The seats are comfortable, the ability to see what's around you is great, and it handles most suburban terrains with ease. If you have a family of 5 or more, this is the car you want... unless you have a family of 8... then you want a bus!

a real man knows a station wagon when he sees one

Power Steering problems, door latch problems X3, Fuel pump and sensor problems, latch on counsel doesn't work very well, seal on gas tank door has problems, remote start problems, alarm always going off problems. we love the car but the troubles are soon to appear on your ford flex, And the worst part is that ford will not cover any of the repairs. VIN is not on the recall list.
