Fun to Drive ---
We got the Flex Limited.... highly recommend getting all the neat "extras", especially the Collision Avoidance. 1.Love being able to cruise the freeway with cruise control and have it automatically slow down when you get behind a slower car (You set the gap distance to your preference) and it speeds back up to the set cruise speed when you pull out to pass. 2. I don't know how I used to get along without the light on the side mirror when someone is in your blind spot. Drove the car home 450 miles on the 4 lane and this was GREAT. 3. Did I mention it "Parks itself"? Didn't even know it had that option when we went to pick it up. NICE. 4. Rides great, Drivers seat has 2 person memory and is very comfortable. I often experience back problems but drove the Flex home 8 hours and not a bit of pain. 5. Great Sony stereo system & a full Navigation system. Don't pay attention to the Consumer Reports review that the touch screen is complicated. I am senior "medicare" age and it was VERY simple to learn. Only took me a few minutes of review. Of course the 11 year old grandson needed no training. You can use the radio volume and setting from the steering wheel controls or from the touch screen. Love it :) 6.... Oh & the large rear view camera screen is wonderful. I was going to keep using my older van and "save" this new car for longer drives, but can't bring myself to drive the other one anymore. Guess I might as well sell the other car; I'm spoiled now.

Roomy-comfortable-value
Bought the Flex for transporting my crew (large men) to job sites within 500 miles. Great vehicle! Very spacious inside with individual A/C controls. Rugged upholstery and decent fuel mileage (22mpg) on the highway. It's a great choice for our company. Way more comfortable than our 4 door pickup truck. Love it!

Great, short experience
I'm providing this review after renting a SEL FWD version for 10 days on a family vacation so I can't speak to reliability. I put about 750 miles on in during the time I had it. I've always liked the look of the Flex & read many good things about it. We thought it was great and have moved this up to the top of the list for our next car. Plenty of room for the 5 of us (including a booster seat & rear facing car seat). I'm 6' 2" & fairly wide and I easily fit in the back seat with the 2 cars seats. Something that is a challenge for me in our GMC Envoy XL. Even with the front seat all the way back my knees were about 4 inches from the front seat. It easily fit 7 suitcases of various sizes & a baby stroller behind the 2nd row. It looks like it would handle a good amount of cargo with the 3rd row up because of the "well" area behind it. We didn't use it, but it looks pretty roomy in the 3rd row seats too. The ride was smooth and very comfortable. The tire noise was noticeable, but overall pretty quiet. There was plenty of power at all times even when fully loaded, so I don?t think the turbo would be necessary. We averaged about 21 MPG with a lot of city driving (was at 24.5 on a long hwy stretch at about 75 MPH) all according to the trip computer. Plenty of features even on the SEL trim (like the tri-zone AC and the ability to change the main stereo/info screen and ones for the driver). I realize the style isn?t for everyone but we liked it. You don?t see a lot of them around so it provides some individuality. I like that it?s up higher than a car, but not a really tall vehicle or a big step up like most other SUVs. I can slide right in without going down into the seat like a care or stepping up and the kids don?t have to climb up to get in their seats. It?s more like a minivan without the stigma that goes with it. CONS: The back doors are big/long so it?s easy to hit the car parked next to you when opening. Could have been just my car, but I had problems closing the tailgate all the time. I would think it was shut, get in and the screen would tell me it was open. I thought I was going to break it or dent it trying to close it. Would be nice if there was a handle or something on the outside of the tailgate to push instead of pushing on the thin, metal paneling. The lights weren?t that bright and the fog lights didn?t help much (but the bulbs are easily upgraded). We got stuck in some heavy rain and the wipers couldn?t go fast enough to keep up with it making it hard to see. The stereo we had was ok, but I would pay for something better or upgrade aftermarket. The touch screen functions didn?t respond well all the time & it?s hard to adjust them while driving. Even the function buttons not on the screen (like for the radio & climate control) are hard to find/use while driving. They are barely raised up from the flat panel behind them, so it?s hard to feel for them even which makes you look for them. That probably just takes time to get used to though. Overall I really enjoyed my time with the Flex. It fits my family needs and drives well, so as I said it?s moved to the top of my list and opened my wife?s eyes to something a little different (especially since she doesn?t want a minivan).

Nicely Balanced Vehicle
We have a new Ford Flex, and it is just such a nice car. I picked up somebody late at night and they thought they were sitting inside a Mercedes-Benz, it really is that quiet and smooth. The ride is very refined and it's a very easy car to drive. Ours is the Limited Ecoboost, and despite its size it really goes fast. Even our fuel economy is nice, around 23 mpg average in and out of the city. All-wheel-drive fools you into thinking it's a small sedan until you take it into tight corners at speed; then you remember it's a big car. The back seats are just wonderful --I love being able to carry five or six adults without any complaining! The interior is just so practical. We don't have kids [yet] but I can imagine this car would be perfect for any family. Overall this is a very well-balanced automobile. It has beautiful looks, great performance, and has enough room to carry large loads. It can be a pain to park in the city, but thank goodness for the cameras and sensors. I keep getting complimented on its styling and performance. Really shines where most crossovers don't. Prices get high once you add options like we did, but I think the payments are worth it. Well done Ford!
