Ford Does it AGAIN!
In the twelve years I have been driving, I have owned 8 cars. Six of them have been Fords: '93 Escort, '97 Escort, '00 Windstar, '02 Ranger, '03 Explorer, and '08 Focus. I traded in my '03 Explorer on the Focus and have not been disappointed. 37 AVG MPG, SYNC, Satellite Radio, and my baby--a moonroof make this car enjoyable. I do not notice road noise, because the Explorer was a noisy vehicle. For the first time since I owned a '98 Honda Civic, I enjoy driving. Ford really has hit the jackpot with this model year. I would recommend my car to anyone.

Fun to Drive
The Sync System is a real plus in this vehicle. It coordinates all devices into an easy to use central communications system. You are able to pay attention to driving and it is much safer than alternative methods of fumbling with cell phones, PDA's and MP3 Players. The Focus SES Model styling is an eye catcher and it is quite responsive, has good pickup, is comfortable and roomy, provides supportive seating, and the trunk space is substantial for it's class. Overall fuel economy is realistically around 27 MPG and your Auto Insurance will be higher than most cars in it's class. Get one when Ford offers rebate incentives of $3000 or more. This Compact Car has grown up!

Who says ford cant make dependible cars?
this car is absolutely the best. the 2.0L engine is powerful enough but its no racecar. The backseat is comfortable enough, if you share some of the legroom in the front then the people in the back have a better trip. I love the exterior of this car! the reviews thought the civic looks better but i always remind myself that thats their opinion. in my case i think the focus looks sportier and more aggressive than the civic. it looks like an old ladies car mixed with a spaceship to me. i think the interior is one of the best of all the new cars. The MPG is the best too! in town im averagin 29 and on the highway im averagin 39 which is amazing especially with gas prices as high as they are

First Brand New Car
Lots of front seat leg room in this baby but seriously lacking in the rear seats. If you are over 5'5" you are NOT going to be comfy in the back. Front seats are a bit narrow but comfy. The body style gets aces. Has some stability problems (swaying) over 60 mph which in the south is a BIG problem since the limit here is 70 mph (and everyone drives 85 mph) which doesn't say much for the "European style suspension". Sync is great but only fully compatible with a select FEW phones. It's not as great as it sounds unless you have everyone's # memorized which in this day and age is unheard of. Leather seats??? That's a joke, they're seat covers. $900 for what? Don't get me wrong, this is a nice car, but, KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. Hind sight is an awful thing. Gets good MPG...approx 29 mpg mixed city and hwy (mostly city).

the paint doesn't go all the way around the doors, the AC is awful!! I have to put it on max just to get a breeze of cool air, fiber glass under the tin, the sync doesn't hear well maybe needs a hearing aid, the carpet is just laid in them, pulls up while I vacumm, I could go on and on I'm so disappointed that I bought this car!!!

Ford does it again......... great car
I test drove several small cars and I chose the focus SES. It has the best ride, handling, and pep out of all the others I test drove. It has a smooth ride even at higher speeds, it is quick and responsive, and fun too drive. The 2.0 liter is the right size for power and gas mileage. It has interior room thats accomodating for larger people which I liked. The dash design and lighting is cool. The sync and 6 speaker sound system rocks. Along with the Incentives and Cash Back It was an easy choice. My whole family wants too drive it! Well done Ford!

Ford's got your value, right here.
I bought Focus S base model 2 door coupe manual tran, so I can't comment on the "Sync" gimmick. I compared the Focus base to the Chevy Cobalt base and decided to get the Focus. I don't regret it. The Focus is much quieter and has a superbly smooth positive shifting manual transmission. Acceleration is quite acceptable, and the handling for an economy car is above average for this class thanks to Ford's new suspension for the Focus. The engine revs at just 2150 rpm at 60 mph in 5th gear. I wouldn't hesitate to take this car on a cross country drive. Car feels very solid in cornering again due to that new suspension. I personally like the new exterior Focus styling FAR better than the old Focus design. The interior is comfy but nothing special. Driver seat needs to be more adjustable. Has a HUGE center arm rest storage compartment. Beautiful ice-blue lighting on all controls with lights on. Gas sipper. I'm getting in the range of 31-32 mpg combined city-highway. Spare tire, jack, and tire iron are optional. Standard is just a "fix-a-flat" pump in latex kit with a pump that runs off your 12V jack. Air conditioning is standard on all models, not on Honda Civic.

Great value for the money
My new 2008 Ford Focus is simply put, a pleasant surprise to say the least. This is my third Focus, I've owned a 2001, 2005, and now the 2008. I considered other brands in this market segment, but the Focus surpassed even my expectations. This is a well thought out car from the exterior styling to the interior appointments. My new SES has all of the options I'm used to, plus some. I am impressed with the performance of the car, with very generous fuel economy. The Sync system was just iceing on the cake, not to mention the USB, which holds all of my tunes at the command of my voice. Ford has a winner here, and should be very proud of this American made jewel.

I AGREE WITH THE PEOPLE BELOW!
like the people below i use to stick to civics and well japanese cars, NOT ANYMORE! This new Focus is an amazing car. Just the amount of room alone is better than the Civic or Corolla. We saw the motorweek show on the Focus and they said the 0-60 time was 10.1 seconds...we timed it to 60 with a stop watch, not just counting we used a stopwatch. we got it to 60 in 8.2 seconds. pretty quick though the safety features impress me the most! all the features you would find on a honda or toyota would be opt. but on the Focus its all STANDARD! the ambiant lgihting is also very plesant, I match it with what mode im in. The car is quiet and has a smooth ride along with extra comfy seats that are supportave with a roomy rear bench. This car is great with a great price. (ours is the SES sedan which costs us 18,500 3,200 less than the civic and corolla) overall the car is a 20 out of 10. Really consider this car when you look at buying a new car. P.S. the Ford SYNC system is very nice and safer than a cell phone to your ear
