Great Car/Not getting gas milage
I really do enjoy my 2013 Hybrid. It is comfortable and stylish for a hybrid. The only downfall is I am only getting 37 MPG, I drive both city and highway. I am not a crazy driver by any means. If I would have known that the mpg wouldn't have matched up I would have just purchased a normal Fusion, because its not worth the extra money. :(

Nice look, very loud & the interior is awful!
We bought our 2013 Ford fusion in 10/2012. We wish we waited and shopped around more. The car is nice, but when the A/C is on it sounds like a plane taking off! People always ask why is it so loud? I've taken it to ford service but get nowhere?? Also the interior is so light colored that when wearing dark colored jeans and clothes it has turned a dingy blue color. It looks awful! Then come to find out from Ford parts that Ford does not and will not be caring seat covers for 2013 models. Also we wish we had purchased the model with the front fog lights, but were told ours was equipped with plugs to buy our own from Ford and install them ourselves. That wasn't the case at all. Our car isn't equipped with plugs for fog lights come to find out. I guess thats what we get for not shopping around more! So other than all that it's been a good car to drive. The handling and gas milage is great.

--Great Car, matches EPA-- I am coming in a little bit late for the 2013 model, my wife and I just had ours built and delivered a week ago. I am in agreement with the educated responses on this site - the car, when driven correctly, lives up to the EPA ratings. Below are our -real- findings / comments: --Most trips we get 42-50 mpg, the car drives with battery-only quite often. --Cruise control is great and battery/engine shift is very smooth --Utilize the gradual breaking coach combined with steady acceleration / cruise and you will hit 42-50 on most trips. --Sync update was easy and thus far no issues with technology. ***Drawbacks*** --Trunk space - I agree with the earlier comment about the trunk space and golf clubs - we have to squeeze our baby stroller in the trunk, the battery takes up a significant amount of room compared to my parents camry. --Fingerprints-- This is a very minor drawback, but, fingerprints accumulate quickly on the touch screen. I am assuming this is commonplace, but be ready to clean! :-) Overall, great car that lives up to what was promised - enjoy the great looks and performance!!

Beyond Expectation
The Ford Fusion Hybrid has performed well. It gets superior gas mileage, is a joy to drive, and is very comfortable. The only criticism is the rear trunk deck. During wet weather (i.e., raining), it channels water on top of anyone directly under the uplifted trunk lid. Moreover, there does not appear any good design reason for an uplifted trunk lip. Clearly, this bottom trunk lip could be eliminated in the next body design, eliminating extra user effort to get things into the trunk without extra effort. This is a common criticism of most cars and the Ford Fusion design team appears to have ignored this feature. Finally, it appears impossible to turn off the air conditioning system while supporting cabin air circulation. The only option is to completely turn off climate control. However, doing this means slightly higher MPG. Other than these minor problems, the car is still attractive and worth purchase consideration. I switched from Toyota to Ford because of the overall positive benefits and IIHS crash test results.

Want to make this new car smell last forever.
Love it! So quiet when in EV mode, which my husband and I compete with each other to see who can keep it in EV the longest. My only complaint is the front bumper is quite low to the ground, so be wary of high curbs and large speed bumps.

Excellent Car
I love this car. I have 500 miles on it after one week and I am averaging 46.8 MPG. My daily commute consists of 70 miles round trip mostly with 50 miles of that being very heavy stop and go driving with the other 20 miles being highway speeds. The key to getting great fuel mileage is driving the car the right way. There are several settings in the display and I have found "Empower" especially helpful to train myself on driving properly. It gives you a real time view of when the electric motor is running and when the gasoline engine engages as well as your fuel mileage by the second. I would highly recommend the new fusion!

Terrible design flaw
I have a love affair with my 2010 Fusion Hybrid, but was ready to toss her over for the newly designed 2013. Everything I loved, but updated! Until I opened the trunk. Because they packed the batteries in the sides, you can't get in a set of golf clubs in (even with the Driver pulled out of the bag) unless you fold down the back seat and put them in long ways. And as anyone who golfs knows, that is barely workable in a pinch, but certainly does not work if you keep your clubs in the car frequently. If you are a golfer, this otherwise fabulous car will not work at all. I'm devastated! A complete deal breaker for me!

Ford Fusion Hybrid experience thus far
Purchased this hybrid a few weeks ago and so far so great. The jury is still out on whether I will reach the 47 MPG that is stated. Currently I am averaging 40 MPG, which is still great. I believe the cost-benefit will be realized over time. I LOVE driving this vehicle, including the Ford touch and navigation systems.

Nice Styleing
Shopped Fusion Hybrid to the 3 different Toyota Prius' Hybrids and the Ford C-Max and mileage is similar, but Fusion is a much more attractive body style.
