This is a great car and very cheap to buy parts for yes the hdi headlights that dum xxx was talking about dont know how to order them from Amazon for 22 bucks it has been very good to my wife and i and our buiness thank you gmc

The 1999 GMC Envoy is and has been a lemon from the start. I have sunk in thousands in repair cost. Then HDI headlights go the cost is $900 to $1200. When the differential goes figure another $1500 to $1800. Those are just a few items I had to replace, all under 60,000 miles. Now the 4 wheel drive unit is going out at 78,000 miles, At 40,000 miles I had to have the door bushings replaced. Anything you can think of has been replaced; water pump, rotors (3 times) front end parts. Although I must say my first tune-up was at 101,000 miles, I got lucky on that. Buyer beware, this is a classic lemon you want to stay away from. Ron

Many Unexpected Features like heated leather seats, 8 way adjustable seats with memory, heated exterior mirrors, automatic load leveling control, built in air compressor, a fantastic stereo. Towed a boat for many years with zero issues. Reliable; always started. Maintenance was inexpensive compared to other cars/trucks I've owned (foreign made). Only thing I "had to get used to" was the slight feeling of instability going around curves at speed. The vehicle center of gravity is high off the ground and the shocks/stabilizers allow "sway" which causes the feeling of instability.

Get rid of it before the warenty runs out.... The 4 by 4 is very expensive to repair. The new ones are just as bad.....
