I've had this truck for over 10 years, and holy cow it
I've had this truck for over 10 years, and holy cow it will not die at all. It has been in 3 wrecks and through the mud ect. Even if it "breaks down" it wakes back up in 2-3 minutes, my big GMC has gone through a lot in it's life time, pulling out cars and trucks bigger then it out of the mud. It even towed my 03 Ford F150 to a shop when it wasn't working, MY GMC WON'T DIE

Extremely reliable, rugged, and tough.
Current owner of a 1995 GMC Sierra C1500. The 5.7 is a very reliable engine. Some on the internet with million miles on them. I am rocking 143k on the odometer. Mint condition from being southern owned in a non-salty environment. They can be rust buckets If improperly maintained. Fairly comfortable despite being a traditional pickup. Pickups have a high market, so considering a used one isnt a bad idea as you can normally abuse it without caring.

Could have killed my mom
My family has owned GMC products as long as I can remember. Recently my mom wrecked her gmc truck and the airbags did NOT go off. Neither one of them open and the truck flipped 3 times. They had to us the jaws of life to get her out of he truck. Their was no reason for the airbags not to go off. Highly disappointied.

Great Truck
Great truck. Easy to work on. Very dependable. I,ve owned four of these trucks from 1991 models to 1995. Routine regular maintenance is all I've had to do. I haven't had problems in snow either. The limited slip really helps, plus Goodyear Wrangler tires. I just bought a 1995 on Cars.com with 38,000 miles on it. I'm good for another 5 years or more before I have to look for another. I just don't like the newer models. Too much to go wrong and to much money for repairs. You need to shop for low miles because they tend to rust around the wheel wells, rockers and cab corners. The clear coat was bad in the early nineties. Overall I've been very pleased.

Workingest Truck I've owned
I've hauled mulch, manure, retaining wall stones, brick pavers, lumber, etc. The Sierra has been easy to load and unload and handled everything I've put in it. The extended cab has been a delight for taking grandchildren on trips. The only drawback I've found is it isn't stable on snow and ice (but neither am I). Overall, I have been very satisfied with the looks, handling and performance of my Sierra.
