2012 GMC Terrain consumer reviews

in 2010 bought Honda CR-V AWD, hated it and traded 1 year to the day, didn't care if I was upside down or not. The GMC Terrain SLT2 is loaded, wonderfully comfortable leather appointed seats. The cabin lights up like a cockpit at night. Drives like a dream, agile on the road, very smooth ride as well. Absolutely minimal cabin noise, if any. I just love this vehicle. And, I am getting 23.1 miles on my 33 mile commute to work, was lucky if I could squeeze 21 into the Honda CR-V. My husband says there is 2 times the room for him to move around. Would I recommend, YES, treat yourself, buy the GMC Terrain, and may I suggest the SLT-2.

The styling, price, value and especially the performance of this 4 cylinder vehicle is outstanding. Test drove a 2012 Terrain SLE AWD and then a 2011 Terrain SLE AWD and each had a four cylinder engine. There is no comparison. The 2012 performed much better perhaps due to the VVT engine. I have this vehicle for over a month. It has a smooth, quiet ride, good acceleration on hills, and overall a great looking SUV in black. Would like to see keyless start, more storage options, and home link standard as improvements.

EPA rated 22 - 32 mpg. We only get 23 period! if you put on highway and set cruise it get worse down to 21 mpg. This was grosely mis advertised. Road noise is terribly loud. you have to almost yell at your passenger to have a conversation or turn radio to high to even hear. For the price its a descent car, but was very over rated. i will be trading in as soon as its feasable.

I've looked at these vehicles for 2 years and finally bought one, the best purchase ever! I love it!

This was a great purchase for us. It drives great. The Interior is very comfortable, and gas mileage cant be beat.
