My Yukon lasted over 400,000 Miles!

by Michaden from TN on Sat Jan 27 2018

I bought a used 2000 Yukon SLT back in 2005 and drove it for 12 years. I finally replaced it last year at 409,000 miles! I maintained it regularly and repaired a few things from time to time, but overall this vehicle was very reliable!

Most reliable and safe vehicle I've had the pleasure of owning. This truck has been going for 17 years and will be around for at least 17 more.

Great Luxury SUV

by craneman from Allentown PA on Fri May 01 2009

I bought this truck with 140K miles on it, cheap for $4000, best deal I ever made. Runs like its brand new! Actually more comfortable thatn my brand new Lincoln mark LT and just as much power! I would recommend one of these to anyone. I don't know about the newer ones but my 2000 is a great vehicle and I will never get rid of it!

A great truck.

by SCOTT from AVON, MN on Thu Sep 11 2008

I have owned it for 3 years. Went on many trips towing a heavy trailer. With 144k on it, it has never failed me yet.

Our Take on the 2000 GMC Yukon

My affection for sport-utility vehicles grows with proximity to the driver's seat.

This became clear during recent test drives of the big 2000 GMC Yukon and the even bigger 2000 GMC Yukon XL.

Had I trailed those elegant giants in a small car, I would have hated them. They block forward vision, consume road space and turn driving along construction-plagued thoroughfares into a special kind of hell.

But I was seduced in their driver's seats. They are great trucks. From their perches, I can see forever on a clear day — and pretty far when it's cloudy, too.

Even more impressive is their power to move people without touching them, to play on their big-is-bad, small-is-virtuous biases simply... Read More
