I have a 2017 but I've been told that mine isn't in the recall. However I've had 2 of the issues already and the most expensive ones. Does anyone have have an idea what I can do? The a/c condenser and now transmission.

Do not buy

After buying our 2017 YukonXL in Dec 2020 with less than 40K miles, I had high hopes that it would be a reliable vehicle for our family. In Spring of 2022, at 63K, we had to have the transmission rebuilt - apparently a common problem in these vehicles that GMC is fully aware of but refuses to do anything about. Multiple class action lawsuits have been filed. There is also a known issue with the cam lifters failing. I have seen this on a Facebook page for Yukon owners. Again, GMC is very aware of the issue but has done nothing to resolve it. For the price of these vehicles, they should not be failing with these major components at such low mileage. I have always owned Honda’s and this GMC has been a complete disappointment.

Very nice car to own

This car is great so far, have twins that require rear facing car seats and there is plenty room in the captains seats for their seats.

Great Family Car

The SUV was the perfect family vehicle that we were looking for and wanted to purchase. The dealer, price, and availability met our every need.

Missing key passenger safety features

Nice exterior & interior appearance. Not as comfortable as older models with actual arm rests. This model only has the middle console area and a rest on the door (which may not be at the proper height for every driver.) My main issue is that this SUV, unlike its competitors (Toyota Sequoia and Ford Expedition) does not have headrests for the middle seats in the 2nd and 3rd rows. Head rests are what prevents paralysis in the event of a bad whiplash accident. It makes no sense only 4 of the 6 seats offer full protection. Very disappointing.

The vehicle is both elegant and luxurious.

Great vehicle to drive and be a passenger in. Room galore for transporting people and gear. The car is luxurious in the way it looks and drives. The 4WD was outstanding in Denver's recent major snow event.

Very nice vehicle!

GMC Yukon XL Denali is very nice! Plenty of room and conveniences. One negative is the seats.... narrow and not that comfortable. I don't understand why GM made their seats so narrow. Bigger people will have a tough time.

Don’t buy!

The 8-speed transmission is horrible and doesn’t drive smoothly. I’ve never spent so much money on a car and been so unhappy with a car. We are in the process of trying to get it bought back...
