Couldn’t part with it ❤️

I have owned my Honda Civic EX since 2010. I recently moved out into the country and went shopping for something that was a little better in the snow. I found a Ford Escape. I stored the Honda all winter. I occasionally attempted to sell it but only half heartedly. Now it’s been about a year and I simply can’t part with that little car so I’m selling the Ford and planning on driving the Civic for a long time to come. It has 187,000 miles on it and still runs as smooth as silk. There are a few issues with rust on the body and the faring is held on with gorilla tape. I can’t believe that I nearly broke up with it. Since I parked the Ford and put a for sale sign on it I feel so much better. Living out in the country means a lot more daily miles and the civic offers great gas mileage. By the way the Ford was a 2009 and has started to rust. I realized that it will probably fall apart way before my Civic does. So she has forgiven me and we are back together —forever

This is the car version of mid-80’s Toyota pickup

In other words, IMO best economy car ever made. The Toyota pickup from the 80’s to me is the most amazing vehicle ever. If there is a 2nd place or a small car equivalent, it’s the 7th gen civic. I have an 03’ LX sedan with Manual Transmission. Bought it with 75k and it has 180k now after 10 years. It hasn’t ever broken down or failed to start and it hasn’t received any repairs. I maintain my civic myself and it’s not perfect (have to add oil sometimes in between oil changes and one time my clutch fluid ran out and I lost all pressure due to super slow leak) but other than normal wear it’s the best machine I’ve ever owned. A lot of these cars are 5-speed, I highly recommend the 5-speed because it makes the car a lot of fun to drive. Even though it’s a slow car, the manual trans combined with smooth, responsive handling and a light curb weight make this car surprisingly enjoyable to drive in the city day in and day out. Not a good car for the freeway. Good for college towns like where I live and there are a lot of streets but not a lot of freeeway driving. I used to own a dodge SRT-4 and this Honda Civic literally handles as good maybe better than that car if you have aftermarket wheels and tires on the civic. I imagine the automatic is a pig probably not fun to drive.

Best car I've ever owned for so many reasons.

This vehicle I find is aerodynamic, for its shape and has an engine that wont give in. Honda is like a brother, it's there when you need it. It gives back in so many ways.

Best economiclly affordable vehicle.

I think, or I should say I believe that there is nothing driving anond on the road today that can perform and hold up on it's own like the Honda civic, and accord.

Great commuter car

I bought this car used. I was very happy with its performance and the gas mileage was amazing. I was able to comfortably run errands in it. It was a little small for a family of 5, but the times we all road in the same car weren?t often. If you are looking for a commuter car or just a smaller, reliable car, this is the car for you!
