2008 Honda Civic consumer reviews

Ok this is one of the worst cars I own and I own several. This car is the most unreliable Japanese car I?ve ever had. It has constantly had check engine lights and tire warning lights that were malfunctions. With bad alternators and gearboxes it has always been a can of worms that can?t be fixed. I now have 120000 miles on it and the car was ok, not great but ok, until 30,000. The outside is so plain Jane and the backseat is cramped. The seats are uncomfortable and the dash takes up so much space that it?s all smaller. The infotainment is just a radio and that?s it. The ride is Horrid and the wind noise is terrible. The engine groans and mumbles and there?s no power. I never liked Honda when I bought this car and I certainly don?t like them now. With bad shifting it can stall out on my automatic model and I?ve had complete loss of power with my family in the car. Please don?t buy this car it?s awful and you WILL hate it sooner or later.:(

My Civic gets great gas mileage, is comfortable and easy to drive. Love the Honda Brand, will continue to stay with Honda for the amazing reliability!

In 10 years, I have never had a major problem with the vehicle! Apart from minimal maintenance like oil changes, and routine stuff like replacing tires and lightbulbs in headlights, the car has incurred no exta costs! And Capitol City Honda in Olympia, WA, where I purchased the vehicle and take it in for servicing, has not only always been fast, efficient, and reasonably priced, they have never once tried to sell me something I didn't need--which is what happened to me with another make of car from a different car dealership's service center, where every service visit cost me an arm and a leg despite their extensive warranty. So what's not to like?

I really like this car. It's quick, fun to drive, great on fuel mileage, and very practical to get around in. My only complaint about this car is that it is such a small vehicle for such a steep price - about $10K off the lot used.

Very nice car, small and fun to drive and very reliable. Ive never had a problem with it. If you are looking for a sporty car that gets good MPG and wont let you down this might be the car for you.

Third car I?ve owned. Currently has 253,000 miles with all original Honda parts and drives like a new car. Excellent gas mileage, easy to drive, sporty feel, and so dependable!

I've been driving this car for 10 years and it's coming up on a hundred thousand miles. Let me tell you this thing has never failed me! It's never broken down or left me stranded. I had to replace the entire air conditioning system after 10 years but that's more than acceptable. I live in Florida. I'm going to be driving this car into the ground hoping to get another 10 years out of it.

My dad bought me a 1996 Honda Civic DX for my first car. It was pre-loved and only 4 years old when I got it. It lasted in my family for 14 years and is still kicking today. We sold it to an individual a few streets over. It was the most reliable car I've ever owned and still proves to be to this day. I recently purchased my 16 year old daughter a 2008 Civic EX. So far, so good.

I own this car and driove it daily for 5 years now. Such a.stylish gas-saving car! It rans 38 miles/gal. yet still powerful enough to handle evening climb Mt. Rainier. However it is a little difficult to get in and out for the passengers sit in the second row.
