Love my CR-V!
I've been driving a mini-van for the past eight years and missed my Honda Accord but wanted an SUV. Things I like: 1) 4-wheel drive, 2) safety, 3) sporty feel, 4) gas mileage. Things I wish were different: 1) "bouncy ride," 2) road noise, 3) lack of power. I do think the 2012 model has fixed the first two issues but I could not get a 2012 LX model due to the slow production. There are many EX and EX-L models available but out of my price range. Overall the 2011 model is really nice and I can live with a few minor issues--especially since my clunky mini-van is gone! I haven't driven it on snow so the 4WD will be tested in the next few months. It has helped me drive off a few rutty baseball field roads.

4 4 4
We wanted a 4wd, 4c with some get up and go. We tested them all. Honda was the best. also very roomy. still learning about the blind spots though. the EX-L is worth the extra.

bad choice
I purchased a 2011 CRV last Sept.-my wife's choice-I was looking at a KIA Sorento. I wished I would have used my 1st choice-but I didn't-bad choice-this CRV has never run properly-lugs down going up an incline-runs poorly at stoplight-rough like it misses-has been tested by Honda tech-nothing codes-but he stated'does run poorly. Gets 22-24 on istate-I'm waiting for Honda rep to xx it out-if I stay with CRV-definitely want to go to 2012. Srv dept states-they never had one like this-great-I'm the unlucky one.

Happy Coloradans
We searched high and low for the EX-L trimline for the CRV because we liked the leather, reliability of Honda, crash rating (safety) and body style. After considering a Toyota Rav4, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Kia Sorrento, Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Santa Fe, we decided on the CRV. So glad we did!

SUPER PRACTICAL
Refinement is the bottom line here. The way this thing stops and goes and steers defines the difference between it and the competition. I came out of a 2 yr Pilot lease and at first was dissapointed in my decision. After driving for 10k miles I now appreciate the car for what it is. probably the most practiacal overall. Easy to park, good on gas, reasonalble cargo and passenger abilities and refined which most out there have many areas of shortcommings when compared to the Honda. The knock offs are cheaper and do look "nice" but that is about it. Not much different than comparing a fake purse to the real deal.

Good Car a liitle short of being great
The car rides and drives well. The drivers seat bottom is uncomfortable due to a bar under the seat. Road noise is a little high but this is normal for a Honda product. Rear seat room is ok but with a child seat in the rear it is very tight for the child to climb into there seat. Gas mileage is 27 to 28 MPG on the highway. I have not checked MPG around town. Cargo room is Ok. I have driven the 2012 version. They have made some improvements but they are not enough to warrant trading a 2011 model for a 2012.

Think twice before buying a CR-V
I just got a brand new 2011 CR-V EXL. With the first snow storm in Chicago, I used the front shield defroster for the first time and I heard an explosion, the front shield window cracked all the way across. A honda dealer admitted to me that Honda wanted to make this vehicle as light weight as possible, so they made an unusually large size front shield window way thinner than all other vehicles from the same class! The worst part is Honda does not want to cover for this defective and poorly designed windshield, they want me to pay almost $1000 to replace it. What a ... .

Good interiors, power, reliability. Good value for money. But very pricy when it comes to what you get in terms of features and interiors

Love it but...
I really love my Honda CR-V. Love the way it drives on the road. You don't feel every bump like you do other big cars. The car warms up inside very quickly and is very comfortable. Lots of leg room in the back. I like the shelf in the trunk area. Helps me to keep my car organized better. The only thing I would re-do would be to purchase a car with a dark interior. I have a taupe colored interior and it shows everything. Concerned that it will look old very fast...my 2009 CR-V looked like knew when I sold it...hopefully this will too.
