2017 Honda CR-V consumer reviews

This is the second Honda LX CRV AWD purchased by me. I previous owned a 2012 LX CRV. I prefer the 2012 because it had a DVD player, had better pick up, little better gas mileage, and visibility. The 2017 is a little quieter on bumpy roads, but not significantly. My 2017 has a little more cargo room which I like. It seems to be comfortable, but I haven't taken it on a long distance ride yet. I am disappointed that it doesn't have a DVD player, but I guess most newer cars eliminate it. The 2017 seems to be sturdier. Though, there seems to be a little delay when accelerating. A friend of mine test drove several other name brand small SUVs. He said that the Honda CRV has a sturdier ride and the other brands tended to vibrate. It is true, the Honda CRV has a very smooth, solid ride. I feel as if I am riding in a light armored vehicle with comfort.

During the first 3000 miles I would have rated the CRV excellent in most categories. It is comfortable and roomy for both myself at over 6 feet tall, and my wife at 5 feet tall. The acceleration and gas mileage (25mpg around town) are both very good. I miss having a heated steering wheel and vented seats, which are not available on the CRV. However, at 3200 miles a serious engine problem showed up. At 70mph the car suddenly slowed, lost power, the check engine light came on, and multiple electrical systems reported malfunctions in the dash display. The car was towed to the Honda dealer and diagnosed with excess gas (approximately one quart) in the oil. The oil and filter was changed as a temporary solution, and a tech line case was opened with Honda. I was told at this time there is no permanent recall or fix. I was advised that this is a known problem in cold climates where the car is used for short drives and does not warm up completely. Since then I have learned that all CRVs with the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine have been recalled in China for the same problem. If you live in a cold climate I would not recommend this car at this time.

This car doesn?t even feel like big car which I disliked before I test drove this one. Amazing features, plenty on room, great gas mileage. Love it!

It meets my needs. It has plenty of passenger space in the back. I like the brake hold for traffic situations. The back up camera is a great feature.

I drove this suv and even low the price was in line with other low mileage cars it lacked some of the criteria I was looking for. It did not have remote start, a cargo net, etc.

Steering, handling and braking are excellent. Comfortable with plenty of room. Controls on dashboard and steering wheel were expertly designed. Consistantly gets 30+ mpg. I will buy another one.

I am blown away by this SUV to say the least. What a ride. Tight and quiet and SO comfortable. It is AWESOME and also very cool looking...white, tinted windows and great rims. The interior is beautiful and it has so many awesome features. The price was GREAT and it had only 3575 miles on it. We got a deal!!! It will be in our garage for years and years to come, that's for sure. LOVE DRIVING IT! ?

It is terrific in yucky winter weather. Easy to park & turn even when there are adjacent vehicles. Not only is there a spacious front seat area like most SUV's, but an abundance of room in the second row for two car seats. The trunk's capacity surprises you. It has a fantastic 4 cylinder turbocharger for plenty of get-up-and-go.

This is the best Honda that we have owned and we have owned 6. We have never had any mechanical issues with any of them.

My Honda CR-V is perfect for me. Plenty of room, smooth ride, great styling and a great value. I researched many of the suv's from different car makers and settled on the Honda as I had a Honda Accord for many years and it was a great vehicle so wanted to stay with a great product.
