Humble and Excited

So when my neighbors both bought Honda Elements I thought they had gone crazy. Maybe it was being middle age crazy for the sensible middle class. They talked me into looking and then I bought the 2006 element. What an awesome car, err suv, errr utility camper kinda of thingy. This vehicle does it all, almost. Satellite radio, scotch gaurded seats, a floor you can sweep the beach sand off of, more room in the drivers seat than my former Chevy Silverado, this car if the definition of fun and practical. It has the same engine as my other Honda, the Accord. Different transmission and gear ratio and slightly less gas mileage especially on the highway. Take this 4 wheel drive onto the beach with the sun roof out and really enjoy what it can do. Clean up is a dream. I'm stylin now in a vehicle I never thought I would own and one I won't soon give up. This vehicle has something most other cookie cutter cars and trucks fail to have, that is simply personality!!

disappointed I bought an Element

I've had my 2005 Element for a little over 1 year. There is a constant noise that comes from under the vehicle that sounds like a loose cap or something. Everytime I take it in for the dealer to check/fix the noise, they say "we can't find anything wrong" and they give it back to me. As I drive away, I hear it. I've been back to the dealer so many times for this it's making me crazy. I'm so frustrated. I'm also disappointed with the gas mileage. I'm getting about 14/19. NOT good at all and definately not what the sticker said. Another drawback is it only fits 4 people. Would rather have a 40/60 split in back to accomodate 5th person. Would like larger front seat armrests. Vanity mirror for driver's side. Lighted vanity mirrors would be better. Would like a sliding cover over the sunroof, as the kids gets extremely hot in the summer with the sun beating in on them. I would definately NOT recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Great deal for the money

Have owned the EX-P for a couple of months now. Almost 3000 miles on it. Only drawback I've seen is a tad more road noise than I would like, but I figure a different tire would fix that. All in all, I really like the utility of this vehicle, it's very easy to keep clean, and it's roomy too. Gas mileage is within the rated numbers. Very pleased.

An SUV for All Lifestyles

This is one of the finest SUVs that I have ever owned. Honda quality is very evident in every aspect of this vehicle. The vehicle is unique in that it adjusts to any lifestyle for the active adult. This SUV becomes more of a companion to the person with an active lifestyle than just being a vehicle for transportation. The interior is extremely comfortable and back seat passengers think they are in a limo due to the extensive headroom and legroom that is standard in every Honda Element. Initially, the look of the vehicle was just OK to me, but after a test drive and an examination of the features...I fell in love with it. It is worth a test drive because once you do you will experience the companionship of this vehicle to your lifestyle.

Has more room than an X5 and ML350

Great SUV for hauling my collies back and forth to herding trials and lessons. Hair, mud and muck cleans out easy. Great fit and finish. No problem areas on delivery. Sales kid could use a course in how to sell cars though. Was looking for a vehichle to haul my two collies. Looked at the ML350, RX350, X3, X5, 530wagon, G500 and Range Rover. Collies liked the Range Rover from their homeland but the Element had more room and better gas mileage. Came down to the Element or Xterra . 10mpg more won out and better quality. Resale value should be better too.

ex-p black looks cool

i got the ex-p in black. theres no color change at all. with tinted windows it looks bad. it has plenty of room inside. of course i wanted something roomy, that gets good gas mileage. also i'm a parapalegic confined to a wheelchair. so i get in and put my wheelchair in the back. thanks to the door configuration. i can also pickup my other friends in wheelchairs. it's a cool car though
