Great Value

I was surprised what the vehicle came equipped with for the price, very happy with our purchase. Very roomy and really like the interior leather and cloth, great color combinations.

I'll always stick with Honda hands down

I like this vehicle a lot I also item a Civic and a Crv the only thing I would change is need a lil he more storage slots on doors for like papers and a little more stops the room in the am rest and I wish it was still push button start with the keyless entry touch system like on the Civic

Okay for the money but not great overall

Replaced a Toyota Matrix that I had for 13 years and loved with an HRV last month. It's a beautiful looking subcompact SUV with the same relatively large cargo space that I had with the Matrix (same overall dimensions, the HRV just rides 6 inches higher--about the same lackluster HP, too, and MPG). But the details aren't as good in this car as in my old Toyota. I miss the fold-flat passenger seat (HRV one barely tilts forward), I'm short and where I have to place my left foot is uncomfortable, lack of cubbies and interior storage spaces, a cheap plastic knob to turn to dim the dashboard, and LOTS of computerized options that I don't need, don't want, and can't turn off--but it was mandatory in order to get the model with the sunroof, which I will not do without and which Honda refuses to install. I also don't like the funny rear door handles that are vertical instead of horizontal. The driver's seat is stiff and uncomfortable, and I dread the thought of having to take a long road trip in this, although it's fine for around town. Also, it has carpet throughout the cargo area that's just waiting to get muddy (never thought about this until I went to load the bike the first time), and Honda does not make a cargo liner for this car. (The best you can get is a tray which only protects half the cargo area and not the sides). As other reviewers noted, it doesn't have a lot of HP, but I knew that--what bothers me is the jerky gearshifts at lower speeds, which run up the RPM and then drop off suddenly. The ride is good, noise isn't a problem, and while the steering isn't at all tight and sporty, it's fine enough for this price point. Overall, it was as close as I could get to my old car in a subcompact SUV class, and it is okay but not great. But I miss my Matrix's utility and interior design, and I wish I had a new one of those instead. For the next car, I'll go looking for a hatch with fewer bells and whistles and more utility inside.
