I recently bought a 2020 Elantra with very low miles
I recently bought a 2020 Elantra with very low miles (39k). It looks great, like new, and drives like a large sedan should. And the gas mileage is great! Driving around town yesterday it got 37 mpg in normal traffic, when the spec is 30. And on the freeway I was getting well over 57 mpg on a very slight, non-visible decline at 77 mph. It "feels" comfortable. My only knock so far is the information on the center console could be brighter and I haven't figured out how to make it yet. The owner's manual was not included in the sale.

Amazing reliability!!
Great car, bought brand new at 13 miles,, just hit 100k miles with absolutely no issues whatsoever and to me it still drives and sounds as good as it did when I bought it off the lot, I do oil changes every 3-4k miles, definitely would recommend!! Love this car

Wouldn’t buy an Elantra ever again
Bought my Elantra brand new and by 30k miles the engine ended up stalling and had to replaced under warranty. I had to wait 3 months on engine replacement. Fast forward to 65k miles and the crush washer failed, causing all my oil to leak and catastrophic engine damage. If you want a car that is off the road more than on the road then this is the car for you!

Best car ever made
This is one of the best cars ever made. Perfect combination of power, gas mileage (I routinely get 42 - 44 mpg), and reliability. Car only requires oil changes every 5,000 miles or so; big servicing required at about 63,000 miles. I would gladly get another of these vehicles in a heartbeat.

Great car!
We bought our Elantra with 10K on the odometer and loved it since. The car has a great feel to it, it drives well, doesn't require much in terms of maintenance and meets all of our transportation needs. It's too small if you have a family of 4 or more, but for me and my wife it's quite ideal. Would recommend!

Awesome sedan.
I bought my 2020 Elantra SEL with 10k miles on it in May 2021. I have loved it every day since buying it. I now have 50k miles and no major issues at all. I have only done regular maintenance. It's very reliable and fuel efficient. I'm averaging 37 mpg higway/city driving. The interior is simple and easy to use. Hyundai continues to use physical buttons which makes navigating the infotainment screen a breeze. 2.0L NA DOHC engine has been perfect for my needs. Yes, it's kinda sluggish, but it's got the power to get on the interstate and get around people if needed. A few of cons:( very minor in comparison) 1. The models with dual climate, the selection where is air comes out is very annoying. You have to the press the button multiple times for just face, face/feet, feet/defrost, etc. Just give me a dial, please 2. The seats do not have great lumbar support. 3. The headlights are poor in raining conditions. I would upgrade the bulbs to LED. 4. Piano black( around/on the shifter) get REALLY hot in the summer. You can burn your self. Be careful. I will note, at the time of writing this this model and others are easily STOLEN. List can be found online of all affected models and years. If you buy this car or any model affected, make sure the recall is taken care of. And get yourself a steering wheel lock. Thankfully, mine has not been stolen.

Actually Fun to Drive Too
This car is very easy to drive. The only problem was the steering wheel bearing's grinding noise, which gradually rose over time to the point of obvious. Hyundai is aware of the issue, it's covered, and the dealer has the special tools to change it out. The CVT's activity may cause some consternation at times, but this is not even complaint material for me. Anyway, overall this is a great car and so worth the price.

Bad choice. I wish I never bought it.
had headlight problems since we got it. Dims are supposedly adjusted correctly but they only illuminate about 5 ft from the bumper Can not safely drive at night with dim lights on. I have to be at work at 6 AM so I am forced to drive with my high beams on at all times. Hate that HYundais poor policy refusing to replace the head light assembly. I asked a tech to drive it in a rural setting where there are no street lights so they could witness the problem. They refuse =to do so. Now it is having transmission problems too. The "free rental while they have the car is actually $10.00/ day. Cheap for a rental but the warranty we have says free. going to try to "fix" the problem instead of doing the right thing and replacing the whole unit. I'm sure they keep trying to "Fixit" until the warranty runs out. All in all I hate this car and now hate Hyundai.

Unhappy with the hidden fees.
The it self is good, but the dealer picked out the car for me and advertised it on the net at one price then when was all said and done I ending up paying $4000,00 plus more for the car. It felt like a bait and switch all they way, I may never buy another car from a dealer - thieves, I will go with private party. All those fees they charge are just extra profits for the dealership. The price advertised should be the price paid!
