Engine destroyed eating Oil
This vehicle eats oil and fries the engine. After 120,000 miles the oil disappeared, within the interval for the next oil change, and the engine is fried. Never, ever buy this piece of garbage, nor any Hyundai for that matter.

Best suv
Bought in 2015 my 2016 Love love this suv. Sadly this week going to trade for a 2023. Have 85000 miles and never had any trouble. I trade b4 100000 miles on any vehicle I've owned. I'm 67 so it's been a lot of vehicles including a truck once.

Window Gear Failure on ALL WINDOWS
I love the vehicle, however, I have had to replace all of the panels in the doors, where the plastic gear has warn out. I hardly even let the back windows down, and the gear has failed. You have to replace that whole panel which is quite costly. How this has not been a recall, I don't know. One of the motors in the windows has failed as well. Each of these has been about 350, labor and materials to replace. The one with the motor in the window was over 500.00. These gears need to be replaced with a heavier duty material. The shop I have taken it to, has stated they are seeing most all of the Hyundai's gears having to be replaced in the windows.

How to avoid easy car theft
My concern is a report on ABC Good Morning America today that certain Hyundai and KIA autos are are easily stolen because the factory left a device off that will eliminate ease of theft. Some insurance companies are refusing insurance coverage on subject autos. Our 2016 Hyundai Tucson SUV Turbo is very well appointed so we need to know if it may need an added device,

Maybe We Got a Lemon
Really not been a good experience. Engine had to be replaced. Clutch went out & had to be replaced. Car was the dealership for 7 weeks over the past year. Maybe ours was a lemon, but once we get past the 100,000 mile warranty (~5000 miles from now), this car goes - immediately.

Love the Hyundais
This is my third Hyundai, the first two being Santa Fe's which each lasted me over 200,000 miles. I have the Tucson now, and love it. This vehicle has not given me a day of trouble

Buyer beware
The hood latch had to be fixed, the engine had to be replaced, the door latches you would have to click several times all have been under recall. Now the back trunk door won't stay up and it's really heavy so I'm looking to see if there is a recall. After reading all this other stuff about the Electrical stuff going wrong I'm thinking maybe I should trade it in but I all most have a new car with all the recalls. I would never recommend a Tucson.

"Let the Buyer Beware"
The “check engine” light on my 2016 Tucson was on and the vehicle was running rough. The mileage was 115,000. I took it to the Pohanka Hyundai dealer in Salisbury, MD on April 26. I was informed that there was a “misfire on coils 2 and 4.“ The service department recommended replacing the spark plugs. The bill for the plug assembly and the coil assembly was $635.00. After driving the Tucson for approximately 1,000 miles, the check engine light appeared again. The same symptoms that prompted me to take the car in for service the first time appeared again. According to Hyundai, they “found a misfire on cylinder 2, 3, 4 . Confirmed misfire follows when moving coil 3. Cleared codes and confirmed CEL was off.” This time the bill was $335.00. After driving 500 miles the check engine light was on again. This time Hyundai “performed compression test and engine passed. Installed new spark plug.” I was not charged for this service, although I spent several hours at the dealership waiting. Barely 300 miles later, the light appeared again. I took the car in for service yet again. This time it was “misfire on cylinder 2, 3, 4. Called ‘techline” and advised tech to perform another compression test. Compression test passed. Recommend to replace all injectors. Installed new injector, cleared codes.” The bill this time was $1,187.00. I should have listened to my instincts and walk away from this vehicle. Instead I foolishly authorized Hyundai to make the “repairs.” It seemed that each time I took the Tucson in for service, the problem was worse after driving the car for a while. In retrospect, it was almost as thought Hyundai wanted to sell me a new vehicle. Less than two weeks later the check engine light appeared again. After spending over $2,100 and taking the Tucson in FOUR times, Hyundai has not fixed the problem. This time the light was on and Tucson was overheating. I was not comfortable driving it and I was not going to go back to the Hyundai dealership and spend more money. At the end of the day, it was my decision to continue to spend money on repairs. The dealer was not proactive in helping to repair the vehicle. The technicians did not (could not?) diagnose the problem. I would not recommend buying a Tuscon or any other Hyundai for that matter.
