Great reliable car for a great price.

This is a great reliable car. It's amazing in bad weather. I look forward to driving it in the snow every winter.

Lifelong Jeep Customer

Jeeps have always been in my family. My first car was a Jeep and I don't think I'll ever own a different brand. They are built tough, reliable, they look cool, and they are of the most durable cars. No matter the weather, I know I can get to where I need to go in my Jeep. Only downside I'd say is the notorious electrical issues. Beside that, no complaints.

working vehicle

I used it to commute as well as in my janitorial service. I kept all my basic equipment and supplies in it. The fold down back seat facilitated my larger equipment when needed. I bought it used. It had previously been leased in upstate New York. As a result, it had the beginning of underside rust when I bought it. I traded it in in 2017. The air conditioner no longer worked, nor did the radio/cassette player, The repairs were getting to more expensive

Love it. Extremely versatile. Provides everything you could ever need in a car/SUV. Perfect for all weather and purposes which is a lot to say when you live in New York City and have to park on the street...

One of the Best SUVs EVER. Period.

I've owned 4 of these Jeep XJs. I will own more. The 4.0 straight 6 is one of the best American Made engines ever. The interior is perfect. The exterior is beautiful. Rarely is a car perfection. This is one of those times. Jeep got it right with soooo much of this car.

good vehicle if maintained properly

My family has always been a fan of the jeep brand as long as it has the 4.0L under the hood.I bought my first jeep at 142K and it is still running now with no problems, but it is the third cherokee and fourth 4.0L jeep we have owned in my lifetime. I have heard people not like these jeeps because they are "unreliable", but that is usually because they are not maintained well. While they do require more preventative maintenance than most vehicles (mainly head gaskets that need to be replaced every 75k or they will blow), if it is performed they will never die. WE have had all of our jeeps go over the 200k mark on the original times and only replaced one motor from a previous owner who overheated it multiple times. My mom had a wrangler 4.0L that went over 400k and would still be going if a deer hadn't killed it. I'm not saying they are perfect however. The negatives of these cherokees for me are as follows: the interior is too small and creaky. I am a bigger person but not huge by any means (6'2 250) and I struggle keep my head from grazing the roof and the seat creaks in turns and when getting in and out. and the outside is pretty bland and boring, but hey that's what the aftermarket is for. I really like my JEep Cherokee and wish Jeep still produced quality vehicles because these gems will not be around forever.
