Purchased new, now over 250K
I purchased my Jeep new in 2010 and now has over 250 K miles. She has given only two problems. Throttle body replaced at 95K, and wheel bearing ball joint replacement. Now I am skier and this Jeep is in salt and cold every winter, it has been axle deep in water, I tow more weight than I should and I use her most every day. She has 2.4 L which I would recommend over the 2.0L. This is NOT a serious off road Jeep, but if most of you driving is on pavement, with snow and light off road she will do it well. My highway mileage is 30 mpg with 5 speed manual and AMSOIL motor oil. What don't I like, well don't tell her but the front end styling has never suited me. The new ones look better. I'm going for 400K and then go for Jeep pickup. To Chrysler : thank you for this Compass ?

Best value I?ve found.
This car has met all my financial needs. This is lowest mileage car I have ever owned and will be paid off quickly. Cars.com showed me the best deal in my area.

Good first car!
My 2010 Jeep Compass was a great choice for my first car. It was fully loaded from a touch screen console, having both winter and summer tires, heated seats, sun roof you name it! its so comfortable to drive and it's a perfect size. The exterior is very fitting as well. One thing I wanted to mention is that it isn't too good on gas. I was told by the sales person that it was and it definitely isn't. I could easily go through a quarter of a tank within two days driving only 20 minutes (both highway and local roads). I've driven my family's Ford Escapes (2010/2013) and they're great on gas, that's my comparisons. Overall, good car!

Very reliable, but very basic
This car meets my needs, but nothing more. It is very reliable and fairly good on gas. The way it is laid out, the interior seems cramped, and this is the biggest downfall in my eyes.

Very reliable compact SUV
This compact SUV has the safe and convenient features of navigation, phone and audio bluetooth, DVD playing system, Cruise Control, and four wheel independent suspension. Very good, reliable vehicle, just not much interior space.

Great for a small family
This car was nice when I had only one child. The back row doesn't allow for much leg room because the cupholders are in the middle of the floor (attached to the back of the front armrest). When our family jumped from 1 child to three after the birth of our twins, the backseat definitely became cramped; the carseats were a tight fit. The drive was smooth in the begin but over time detiorated needing a new front-end control arm after the original began to warp and tear tires. It lasted us as long as we needed it too and now use it as our backup vehicle only.

A city Jeep
When I needed to consider a four wheel drive vehicle , I naturally thought of Jeep. It wasn't going off road and I needed something for the city and highway with room to move stuff. The Jeep Compass would cover all of my needs. with the rear seats folded down I can haul the full size Victrola's that I collect without a problem. In the winter, the four wheel drive has pulled me through the snow without a problem. It handles the highway I drive 60 miles each day in all weather conditions great. Mechanically, it has been very dependable, and my Jeep dealer has had no problem fixing any issue that has come up fast and easy.
