Fantastic car!

I've always wanted a Jeep, and have now had the opportunity to own one. Aside from the slight difference in gas mileage from my previous vehicle (2016 Honda Fit) to my 2019 Jeep Compass, I'm extremely happy with the car.

Jeep is one of the best SUV

Wow I was surprised that Jeep made so many improvements. I totally love my new Jeep SUV. It does everything I need, 4x4 and drives almost like a car but still has all the wants of a 4x4 fun experience.

Love my jeep

This is a beautiful car, but engine power kinda sucks if you want to speed up in a short amount of time. But if that doesn’t matter to you then it’s fine

Horrible car to own this company ripped me off

When the window is open you get that terrible buzzing in your ear. It feels like the engine is not right when you go from start to brake

If you don't like this motor, avoid it

Overall, the Jeep Compass is a great vehicle with it's safety tests and crash ratings. Just AVOID the Dodge Dart sport motor, TigerShark 2.3 L 4 cylinder. It's a garbage motor. There is a reason you don't see any of the Dodge Dart sport models on the road anymore. FCA even admits that there is a problem with these motors consuming an average of 1 quart of oil every 1000-3000 miles or so. The gas mileage is also disappointing. For the vehicle size, you'd expect better than 24-26 mpg and around town better than 19-21 mpg. Only way you get higher is if you don't really use the accelerator much at all and rolling down a hill. For a small family, it's a great vehicle. Trips are not too bad either with the seating. If you get a Compass, just avoid this motor all together. It's a shame they put it in the Trailhawk editions at that. The compass overall would benefit greatly from using the V6 awd motor setup that FCA already has that has been pretty good with minimum complaints from people in other models. Why not pair that up with this vehicle? The motor just feels under powered for the vehicle dimensions. On social media, the ownership community is divided between loving and hating this vehicle. Recommend getting one as a rental car for a week first before making the commitment to buy it. Some gearheads were hoping for a baby trackhawk version of the compass. The cherokee has the hemi v8 in the trackhawk, why not do something like that in a 6 cylinder for the compass and make a sporty version?

Styling and color match out real nice.

Overall we like it but it took 2 months to get the nasty wheel shake taken care of at the dealership? They just would not listen to this old retired mechanic telling them it was bad tires with belt problems. Two months and I finally ended up at another dealership to get the original dealership to get it corrected. It had sat on the lot for 14 months prior to purchase in extra hot weather which was the major culprit on the tires!
