A good looking car with a horrible interior
We bought our Jeep Liberty. We loved the exterior, but the interior is HORRIBLE.You can either put your cell phone Or your glasses in it.ya...totally right..there is no room in the glove box, if you put the booklet in the glovebox, you can't put your flash light or any thing else in it..not even a skinny 5 page magazine!!! the cup holders are horribly placed,it is very difficult to get your drink in and out of the cup holders while driving. The gas comsumption is horrible. We will be trading our jeep for another SUV. Would never recommend anyone buying Jeep Liberty.

4x4 Sport- Wife's First New Car
My wife should probably be writing this, but...we looked at a lot of Jeeps at the time we purchased this Liberty. However, the incentives at the time plus the Chysler employee discount made this our final pick. The good- Although I personally think of it as a girly car, I really do enjoy driving it. The pickup is good, the handling is excellent. I can not say enough good things about the ESP system. You barely need to lock it in 4 wheel drive with the ESP system. I feel very safe knowing that my wife is driving this. I find the sound system (speakers, not radio) to be amazingly crisp with a lot of bass. The Sirius subscription was an added bonus! The interior space is OK. At 6 feet tall, I can fit comfortably in the back for a short period of time. The combined key and key fob is cool! I have been impressed with the gas mileage. We probably average 20 mpg. The bad- I am not a fan of the round styling. I prefer the square, boxy styling of the old Cherokees or new Libertys. They tried to push the seats at the dealership as made of some new memory foam. They are not and have no memory whatsoever. They are cheap in my opinion. To fold the rear seats down you need to remove the head rests...it is just more of an annoyance. The radio in our version is nothing special and I find it to be in an ackward location when trying to drive and change the stations. I personally think the wind noise is very noisy with the windows and sunroof open. The ugly- the window motors seem cheap and it takes a while for them to go up or down. I am counting the days till they break. For those that DIY oil changes, the oil filter is in a horrible location that is not easily accessed from the top or bottom. My wife would say she 100 percent loves this vehicle. I say it is a solid vehicle in the small to midsize SUV market.

This is my first car and I am glad that I chose to go with the Liberty! Everything about it is amazing! I am Leasing it for a couple of years but I do not think that this would be a family truck:)

First American Car Owned
I have always been a Mazda, Honda or Toyota driver, but since Jeep was having a $4500 rebate on the Liberty, I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did! Although the gas mileage is horrible (around 13 to 15), it has great power, very comfortable and reliable. This is one of the best purchases I have made. I will purchase another in 2009 when my lease is up.

material on seats is bad!!
as far as the liberty goes, no i would not have bought it had i known how hard it would be to deal with the manufacturer. the seat covers are terrible. they will not stand by their warranty. i have water stains on my seats and they will not come out. it is a defect from the manufacturer and they will not take care of this problem. my car is four months old and the interior looks like it is 10 years old. i want something done but they will not fix this problem and i know i'm not the only one out there that has come across this problem.

good money value... insufficient performance
Last September I bought it new Liberty Limited. I was pretty disappointed regarding quality. 2nd day>the warning light ESP+ABS+BAS (meanwhile fixed). After one month windows elevator passengers window broken. After 3 month elevator drivers window broken. The interior design (i.e. buttoms)seems to be be from 1990. The stereo does not have MP3 (we are living in the year 2007!!!). The material (plastic) is noisy but that is ok in this price range. The worse on this car is his 4-step automatic transmission. Chrysler hopefully improved it in the new model. The motor sound is a noisy one but I like it. The power of 210 hp is not noticeable. If someone looks for comfort he should not choice the Liberty, this car is hard and the rear axis is build for off road driving. If I could affort something better, I would. The rear seat is not suitable for a long trip.

Over 65,000 miles and NO problems!
So far the Liberty is the best vehicle I've owned as far as function and reliability go. The gas mileage is satisfactory for a vehicle of this size and weight as well. I enjoy driving it more than any other vehicle I've owned and as a result, I have racked up the miles on it. It's still going strong though! I love it.

EXCELLENT QUALITY
I HAVE OVER 6000 MILES ON MY 2007 LIBERTY, 4X2, LIMITED. IT IS A GREAT CAR, FUN TO DRIVE, AND VERY COMFORTABLE. I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE DEFECT OR PROBLEM, DESPITE MY PERFECTIONIST NATURE. BEST OF ALL, WITH THE CURRENT D-C PROBLEMS, DEALER MADE A VERY GOOD DEAL, AND I BOUGHT IT FOR OVER $7,000 OFF STICKER. ONLY NEGATIVE, IS THE WIDE RATIO AUTO. TRANS, THAT HAS ABRUPT KICK DOWN, ALSO ABRUPT RIDE MOTIONS, DUE TO SHORT WHEEL BASE. I LOVE THE OPTIONS, INCLUDING SUN ROOF, LEATHER, AND SIRRIUS RADIO.
