I own Jeep liberty 2008 2w-drive, manual transmission. I got hit by a big ford truck from left side. The impact of the hit was so intense that the car pushed 90 degree to side and the the car who hit me was pushed the across the other side of the street. The damage is only on the wheel, theleft fender and then i saw also the cage was slightly bent. I had a big bump on my head and a bruise on the leg bnecause Jeep doesn't have enough leg space on driver side. My son got no injury. It was like miracle. They said if this was another car, it would be totaled. Jeep is a tank car and I love it! Safety is first and Jeep did its job sooo well. I recommend.

Liberty is Just What I Wanted

I waited and waited and found my black 2008 at a dealer as a "used" car owned by Chrysler in Michigan. I always research my cars and do the title check with CARFAX. I have owned a 1997 Wrangler, and a 1999 Cherokee. I know what I am buying and I get very specific about equipment. Mine has skid plates, tow package, MyGig radio with Bluetooth and Navigation, leather, heated seats and sunroof, not the giant slider (too loud). My Jeeps usually run for 120,000 miles or more and are as solid as a rock. I also live near Chicago with snow and ice 5 months of the year. This truck is exactly what I wanted and my wife loves it too. Absolutely unstoppable in bad weather and all the creature comforts I want. I have no use for pretender wannabe 4x4's. Jeep is the real deal, and the quality is unquestionable. No recalls for brakes (toyota) or anything else.

This is the first Jeep I have had and I absolutely love it. I drove the Patriot first and felt like it was lacking something, then I drove the 2008 Liberty and it was love. I am almost looking forward to winter now because I know I will be able to get to work everyday. My now husband had a jeep when we first met which we gave to my brother with over 200,000 miles on it, and now with a whole lot more miles on it, the Jeep is still going strong and my brother loves his Jeep too. We will always be a Jeep family from now on. Bottom line I love my 2008 liberty!

last Jeep I'll buy

Well, last Jeep I'll buy unless I live more than another 20 years or get in a wreck! LOL I usually drive a Jeep 200,000 miles or until the wheels fall off, which is what happened to my last one. ('89 Grand Wagoneer). Bought this stripped down (new)'08 Liberty 6 speed stick shift 7000 miles ago. Not a problem or complaint. Good highway vehicle, 21 mpg, good off road clearance. Interior has eough room for my needs. Looks good, rides great, hauls camping/prospecting/hunting gear and I'm not embarrassed to have a valet park it. Lifetime drive train warranty does NOT include clutch replacement, however. Waiting to replace original tires for little better off road traction. Don't buy one if you really want a Lexus or Escalade...it's a Jeep!!!

what a great car for the money i bought mine for 17900 plus tax and licence and i paid cash it was a preowned with the preowned jeep warrenty which is great. I love this car, it has so much room and is so off road capable. My friend bought the wrangler. Its fine but with this car you get so much for your money and the spare tire is underneath not on your back door. It wasent easy to get mine for the price i did. asking price was 24900

My wife and I share this car in the city where we only really drive it for errands and weekend trips we take about every 2 months. So on average we put in about 5-10 miles a week and about 200-400 miles on trips. Its held up pretty good so far with minimal maintenance needed. The on complaint I've had is that the back window somehow broke and kept sliding down for no reason. We've gotten it locked since then to not roll up or down, but haven't had time yet to get it fixed.

'08 Liberty much better than my old '05 Liberty

The ride, handeling, comfort and features of my '08 Liberty Limited are much improved over my '05 Liberty Limited. I truly enjoy this SUV and the $2.99/gallon gas offer helps with the gas expense. My only complaint is the 15 miles per gallon city mileage. I knew this before I leased this vehicle but I like my Jeeps. I looked at many smaller SUV's and the Jeep Liberty is still the best.

We went searching for a good used car and test drove many, many used cars. We ended up at a car dealership where this one was just traded in. It hadn't even been cleaned up. We snapped it up. We both had been interested in a Jeep, but could not find a used one with low miles! This was a find! The Jeep Liberty is wonderful, and I feel so safe in it. We are starting a family and I feel comfortable and secure in this car. The gas mileage could be a bit better, but you sacrifice that for the security of a 4 x 4!
