I looked at all the SUV's under 30K in her class and I settled on a beautiful 2012 Jet Edition. I never thought I'd ever own an america car. In fact; I spent a considerable amount of time looking for an excuse not to buy this truck and found none. With the exception of the Xterra, which felt and looked cheap, this was the only other truck in the class that I felt comfortable taking off-road or towing a boat. Admittedly, the mileage is not great (avg 23mpg combined) and the ride is more truck than car- not as bad as the pro reviews suggest -but its a SUV, not a Crossover- aka station wagon with a lift kit. If your looking for a true 4x4 SUV that's well built and will claw its way over anything the under carriage can clear then you need a Liberty

Jeep should not quit making the Jeep Liberty. I think that this will be a huge mistake. The jeep liberty has been around for almost 10 years now. I think that it is one of the most affordable 4 wheel drive SUVs around. Most SUVs are becoming to be all wheel drive. All wheel drive vehicles are no good when you live in the mountains and need a 4 wheel drive to get out of the driveway.

A good value. Very easy to park and handle around town although the steering is a little stiff. Good visibility. An attractive vehicle that will look good for years to come. The front seats lack sufficent padding to be comfortable on long trips. The quick response steering is not "texting while driving" friendly and requires full attention. Not a good choice for a lot of highway miles but, is in its element in city situations. The fuel milage is nothing to write home about but, the power is adequate.

I can't belive they beat this vehicle up like they do. It is a Jeep 4X4 and that is what I wanted. I just puchased it and drove from Kentucky to Florida the next day. This thing was comfortable the whole 10 hour trip. I love the way it drives and it is very quiet. I had looked at a lot of SUV's and purchased the Liberty with the Latitude Package. You cannot find anything out there with all the options for the money. It has heated leather seats, bluetooth, heated mirrors, Sat. Radio, Garage door opener and 4Wheel drive with down hill assist and a lot more for around 24K. Just try to beat that Expert's. If you are looking for a new 4X4 and don't want to spend 40 thousand, don't listen to the Expert reviews and go drive one

Traded in my 2008 compass for the liberty because I needed 4 wheel drive. I got a great deal and couldn't be happier. It feels bigger than it is and drives around town with ease. Gas mileage is ok but what do you want from a solid truck. Most reviews put this model up against 4 cylinder models which isn't an even match. You get plenty of options for your money. Test drive one and make up your own mind. Remember-this vehicle is almost 100% american made and assembled and has a outstanding stereo system. Check one out!

We purchased a new 2012 Liberty Latitude and it is the best vehicle we have owned. It does everything we need it to do. The V6 engine is "old style" but very strong and made much the same as the 4.7 V8. The gas mileage is not the best, but this is a heavy SUV and built strong. We had snow and it handles it very well. We are very pleased with our purchase. Our dog loves the back area when the seats are folded. I am sorry they will no longer be made, but that should improve the resale value.

This is the first jeep I ever owned and I love it. I really like how they changed the style after 2007. I bought the deep cherry red. The seating is very confortable and everything is so accessible. No regrets here. The only negative I can come up with is the backseat only seats 2 comfortably, the 3rd in the middle has to deal with the cupholders, but how often do I have 5 in a car?

Nice solid 4 wheel vehicle

by from LI, NY on August 23, 2012

I enjoy driving it. It rides very nice on the 18" tires. A very nice truck for the money, also Jeep dealer gave us a good deal.
