2006 Wrangler X (Model TJ)
Just bought one used yesterday with 53k miles. Boy this thing is a completely different ride than the Grand Cherokee. I own a 2006 Grand Cherokee too. This things a street legal ATV compared to the grandmother mobile. Great power even with the huge Firestone Devastation A/T's and 4 inch lift. If price isn't an option, get one with the lowest miles possible, and make it a lifelong love of yours. Oh and an added bonus, my name is TJ, so I just say they modeled it after me, haha.

Best Jeep ever.
This 2006 Jeep Wrangler (long wheel-base "LJ") is my sixth Jeep. I've previously owned two Cherokees, a Grand Cherokee, a 2003 Wrangler, and a 2008 four-door Wrangler. I traded in the 2003 for the 2008 because my wife and I needed the extra room offered by the four-door, but was so disappointed in the absolute lack of quality and reliability of the 2008, I only kept it for sixteen months before trading it in for my 2006 Wrangler. The long-wheelbase was only built from 2004 - 2006, and offers a perfect combination of extra room and the capability and reliability of the 1997-2006 TJ. I plan on keeping this Jeep for a very long time.

Love my 2006 65th Anniversary Wrangler
If I wanted a smooth ride I would have bought a Caddy. It has everything I was looking for.Only con is getting in and out of back seat.Came stock with gas charged shocks,Alcoa wheels and factory 7 speaker sound system. It's very fun to drive and can't wait to get it out on the beach this summer.

Most gas guzzling vehicle I've ever owned
I've recently bought this vehicle used with only 12,600 miles on it. Fell in love with this yellow beast at first sight with aftermarket 33" tires, cool looking wheels, Skyjacker suspension and AEM intake system. I've been lusting after one of these for over three years and I've finally purchased one; my first ever. It makes going to work easy, however with an inline 6 manual transmission it has a serious addiction to fuel....Ouch!!! But it's my toy vehicle and I love this beast.

Wrangler X for x-citing
Other than brake work at 13000 miles I have had no trouble, but plenty of pleasure from my Wrangler X. It's fun and the looks I get are a bonus feature. Excellent off road and in snow. I have the hardtop so noise is not much of a problem.

This is my third wrangler
I can't see owning any other vehicle. It has everything you need, and it's fun. My first Wrangler was a 92, I ran it up to 200K + miles with only the transmission changed and the water pump + usual maintenance. The second was a 99 wrangler, but I didn't keep it more than a year and a half because it was an automatic. Then I baught my 2006 used with 16K miles and the difference in ride is very noticable. The gear ratio needs to be changed slightly, but the feel is very good. the steering is tight and responsive, the inline 6 will last seemingly forever and even this newer model is easy to work on. This is a vehicle you have to own at least once in your lifetime.

Very Sadly Disapointed
This is my third Jeep Wrangler. I owned a 1994 YJ; I bought a New 2000 Sport; and Finally a New 2006 Unlimited Rubicon. I've always loved Jeeps, but my Rubicon has been a disaster. Over the coarse of a year, the battery went bad, windshield had to be replaced due to stress fractures (factory flaw), and my biggest complaint, and biggest disappointment, the 6 speed manual transmission. I have had issues since I reached 1000 miles with the transmission. It shifts horribly, binding / rough shifts. Still not properly fixed after 3 different dealerships. No longer fun to drive. This was supposed to be my dream Wrangler, but instead I fight with the transmission. Top it all off with horrible service at 2 out of 3 dealerships. My advice - be careful and fully test the 6 speed manual transmission on the 2006 Unlimited Rubicons!

2006 Jeep Sport
Yes, it can be a fun vehicle, but I bought the right hand drive for work, It only has 25,000 miles and I am replcing the brakes and ROTORS for the 4th time. Where is my Jeep tough at? I am so disappointed in it. I work part time as a rural mail carrier, I guess that explains why I purchased a right hand drive. It is also hard for passagers in the back to get in and out of it. Took it on a trip to the beach, it looks good but, road noise, and it is hard on the body, no comfort at all. I love the look of the jeep, but that is it.
