2016 Kia Forte Koup consumer reviews

Summary for lazies: Car has great acceleration to 60MPH but dies down quickly after that. Has mild sleeper status and are moderately rare for a newer car. Known for reliability well over the 100k mile mark. Low 15 sec car that can be had for under $15,000 That's right, I'm a millennial who drag races and goes to car meets, not a boomer who comes here to talk about some random sales department because the interwebs is too hard. Front end styling took some getting used to, but overall the 2nd gen Koups look great. Interior has (mostly) quality materials and the dash is cockpit tilted for the driver. You can fit adults in the back seat if they can get by the front seat. No "Tokyo at night" interior lighting to distract the driver. Basic Microsoft UVO infotainment can be buggy as xxxx, but usually works fine to hop in and bluetooth syncs with my phone for music automatically. Speakers are not great. My Grand Marquis had a better system. Performance: My best time on the 1/4 mile is 15.2 with the automatic. Intercooler res delete, axleback exhaust, and a blowoff valve only, so basically stock. 0-60 for automatic should be around 6.8. Handling is a little floppy if compared to a "real" entry-level sports car or hatch, like the Veloster R-Spec. It stays pretty neutral around curves, but the stock Nexen tires are not so grippy. It'll burn all the way through second with all-seasons, so Summer and Winter tires are recommended. The car is super quick on the low end from a dig, but acceleration dies down fast after 60mph or so. Aftermarket support can fix this, adding 30-50whp for maybe $1500. I beat a V6 Chrysler 300 all the way through the 1/4 mile until the very end, beat an ecoboost Mustang to the 1/8th marker, and this car xxxxs on everything on the 60ft (I know, who cares). No reliability issues yet. Car is at 41k, 2016 SX trim

The car is fine, the dealer was not as fine. your review site sucks. how does the drop down stop at 2016 and its 2019 now? this is my final review and you failed!

Its got style and comfort and enjoyed the ride. Good value for money and good features! the sales department were very friendly and knowledgeable of their products

This is a great car. Very comfortable driving. Easy to use add ins and everything is located in a good place for optimum use. Sporty looking but very spacious inside front and back. Telescoping steering wheel and adjustable seats make it perfect to get complete comfort while driving.

Really like the 2016 Forte Koup turbo, it has good speed when needed yet gets 30 MPG when laying off the turbo. The engine could use a bit more power for top speeds however, getting off the line or merging in traffic it does well.

The drive was very smooth. The take off was exceptional for being a 4 cylinder car. When I needed power to pull out into the heavy traffic my Forte5 was right there for me. I felt very safe in a world where your car is your lifeline in traffic. I would highly reccomend my Kia Forte5 for comfort and safety.

Beautiful, sporty dependable. I love the hatchback with my two dogs. Handles like a dream. I highly reccomend this car to women and men. Love the controls right at my fongertips....very convenient.

This car has all the current convenient options. Without a huge price tag . Plus a great warranty!!

First real new car I?ve ever owned. Drives great, like the layout. Gas mileage is off the charts. Very smooth on the highway and easy drive in the city.

I absolutely love my 6 speed forte koupe. Sadly, I wanted to upgrade but they do not make this model anymore. I'm waiting to upgrade the new stinger set to congee out on December
