Recent Purchase

I was excited and happy about this purchase 3 weeks ago but now I am as stressed about it as I was my 15-year-old Ford Taurus and its? issues after reading the myriad of negative reviews regarding the Kia Optima. If only I had pumped the brakes before finalizing the purchase, if only. I LOVE the interior....love it! There seems to be an issue the the door locks and fob not being connected....a safety issue. Cabin noise is a bit loud (engine actually sounds like a mini truck), it idles a tad rough, and there is a grinding sound when the brakes are applied, something I most definitely did not detect with the test drive....perhaps drowned out by the loud air conditiong blower fan.... it was a hot day. I am very afraid to venture too far after reading of the widespread engine failures, and that is a SERIOUS bummer. I worked hard to save for an upgraded vehicle and with my kind of luck I will likely not be spared from having a lemon. The sale was a very smooth stress-free experience. I am so extremely hopeful I will not have to do an about face with regards to the seemingly awesome salesman at the AutoMax dealership. My body cannot handle ANY additional stress at this time in my life, thanks to age and a serious medical issue. Hopefully Lady Luck will be my constant companion while driving this vehicle....SIGH

Loved my Kia

Great car, reliable, only downsize was I'm older and needed something that sat higher. Plus it was a lease, wanted my own so I Bought a Kia Sportage to replace it

Fast and Fun Daily Driver

Fun car to drive. Put almost 80,000 miles on this car over four years. Handles well on the road and responds when you punch the pedal. Suspension and handeling makes you feel like you?re driving something other than a 4-door sedan. Some of the interior material feels cheap, but has held up well. No engine issues as of 80k. Sound system and UVO failed right before the car hit 36k miles. Was repaired under the manufacturer?s general 36k mile warranty. (Electronics are no longer covered after 36,000 miles) Biggest complaint is the small touch screen and back-up camera isn?t as intuitive as some other cars I?ve driven. Also, the car sits low to the ground and isn?t the most comfortable on long drives. Honda Accord and Ford Expedition are my other cars, but the Optima Turbo is by far my favorite to drive.

Great vehicle

I was so surprised when I test drove this car. It was smooth, fast, luxurious, and beat all the other cars I tested. I tested a maxima, vw, and even a BMW, I realized that none of them could beat the price, warranty, and overall quality.

Sporty family car

I have the EX model and I absolutely love it! Leather heated and cool down seats mean I am always comfortable. The seat memory button is so perfect because I'm a little lady and it can be very hard to adjust a seat when a taller person has been there. The trunk is spacious and I haven't had any performance issues. The eco function allows it to be very fuel efficient. Overall, I would highly recommend this car for anyone with any lifestyle.

Fun, Sporty, and Fast

The Kia Optima is a gorgeous, sporty, cost efficient vehicle that has a lot of power behind it. I have only ever owned Chevys but this Kia has it all, AND MORE.
