Explore the 2006 Kia Spectra

Bought my Kia Spectra SX new in 2006.

Bought my Kia Spectra SX new in 2006. I'm 70 years old and have owned a plethora of different cars over the years. My Kia has 350,000 miles on it and neither the motor or transmission has needed any major internal repairs. Other than scheduled timing belts ( with water pump replacements ) and oil changes and other normal maintenance, this has been the cheapest and most reliable car I've ever had! I will keep it forever, because it's cheaper than buying any new car

Door handles exterior / interior and engine light

We have owned it since 2012, because the engine light didn’t come on to warn us! We had to have a motor and radiator installed. Also all the door handles had broken, right behind each other! Which we had replaced!! If these problems could be resolved, it’d be a good car!!

Fun car with lots of pep in it!

Comfy cloth seats, plenty of trunk space and leg room too! Loved how much arm space there in in the front seat. We upgraded the sound system and now it's bumping!

My first vehicle I've purchased

I have a 2006 Kia Spectra It is a nice car, small but it has plenty of leg room. It was a good buy for the miles. It has a few minor issues but still drives and gets me to and from work on a daily basis

Great car for its value. Most reliable car I ever

I loved this car. I had it for 5 years, and I never had ANY issues. I did have to take off the front spoiler because it scraped on the driveway. I never had any work done on it in 5 years (other than oil/brakes/tires). I averaged 25 mpg till the last day. I was in an accident on the highway at lower speed, and the airbag deployed right away, BUT my head never hit ANYTHING. I came out 99% okay, just some minor whiplash. I 100% recommend this car. Turns great, isn't very noisy, accelerates nicely, quality interior, efficient.

Great Little Reliable Car

When we bought this car back in 2006, we knew very little about Kias, but we are still driving it today at nearly 200,000 miles. It gets 30+ MPG. It's very reliable, just needing basic maintenance. It still runs great! To me it rivals Toyota in reliability and long life.

Great cheap vehicle

Great cheap car. You do get what you pay for in terms of comfort and design, but overall I was really pleased with my little Kia. In 8 years I never had any major issues with it and it was very inexpensive to maintain.
