Not worth the money. Too many issues brand new

I have no front camera 360 parking assist. Just a back up camera. Which you can get with an economy car. The software system glitches. Sometimes doesn’t turn on. The eco system doesn’t work anymore. So I’m no longer saving gas. It used to turn the engine off ect. Brakes squeakingWhy ??less than. 10k miles and I’ve had it for almost two years. Factory software update was performed at the dealership due to recall. The mobile app still showed I needed service and tire pressure check. After I had my normal maintenance. The sensor to pop the trunk with your leg never works. Only the front two seats heat up. Really like for a 60k car. Ps50 S. I should have never bought this car you can get more for price.

Looks gorgeous - but not worth the money

I have had my 2018 Velar for 18 months. Leased one with all the bells and whistles to the tune of almost $80,000 which makes for a big monthly payment. My retirement gift to myself. 18 months later and only 6,700 miles - my dream of one day owning a Range Rover have been all but shattered to bits! The infotainment system that they brag about is garbage. Constant malfunctions. I have had to leave my car doors unlocked in mall parking lots because the doors wouldn't lock! The infotainment system will go completely dark and stop working! That means you have no heat in the dead of winter or cool in the sweltering heat of summer. No radio. No navigation - god help you if you are lost. My husband drives a Dodge pickup truck which was considerably cheaper than my Velar. When someone sends him a text message it appears on the screen, reads it out loud to you and asks if you'd like to respond-which you can speak an answer to! You won't get anything close to that in the Velar. You can answer the incoming call (if the infotainment system happens to be working that day) and many times it does not recognize your talk command. I would expect this from a $20,000 vehicle but not one that costs 4 times as much!!! You can't auto lock the doors until all 4 doors are shut which is ludicrous. The remote app they give you clears itself whenever it feels like it so you have to startup the app and come up with a brand new pin in order to check your car gauges or auto start your vehicle. Yesterday I sat in the service area for 5 hours as they put in an UPDATE that was supposed to fix all glitches and promised to have everything working "top notch" as the service guy said. I didn't even mind sitting in the waiting area for so long since a loner was not available. my thought was at least the problems will go away. WRONG!! 2 days later, my doors would not lock again and the system went completely black so that i had to drive 45 minutes with no heat in 22 degree weather. My advice.....look at high end Lexus or Mercedes for the same price. Velar is a Lemon!

Most unreliable SUV I've owe

This Suv didn't met my expectations. First time owning a Ranger Rover and was very much disappointed. Thank God I'm leasing this junk for 36 months. Often, the dashboard light stop working as the whole digital dash start shaking causing you not to be able to read anything off the dash. I drove this suv from NJ to GA and the radio Bluetooth stopped streaming my music from my phone and AM and FM wasn't working as well. I drove nearly 2hours before the radio restarted working. B4 that I pulled over called Land Rover by phone to see if anyone could help and no one knew how to help. Imagine driving 14hrs without music. Horrible SUV to own. I also hate the fact that when you out of the suv and leave it running u can't lock the door from outside, keys in or out it's impossible.

Door handles suck in outward position

This car is gorgeous. However, I am unable to lock the doors with the key fob or manually. Just bought it today. I am completely and utterly disappointed.

Worst car for the money...

Every time i turn around this car has problem after problem... highly recommend not getting this.. not reliable and money down the drain. None of the screen on the interior work properly, which is a huge liability.

Engine blew

I was one of the first to order and get the velar in my city . Had 2 Evoque’s prior to that but needed more space in the cargo . Loved the look and fun to drive . Been in the shop more than I’ve had it .. never went off road without . Just freeway and city . After 2 yrs .. and only 23 K miles , loss of power and ticking noise .. they had to replace the engine ... RR is repurchasing the vehicle under the “ Lemon Law “ .. ugh 😫

When honking my horn the heated steering or the lane assist comes on. Doesnt happen every time so its hard to show the maintenance shop. Has anyone else had this problem?

I love it

I have owned the 2018 Velar for a little over a year and I love it. It's beautiful and drives amazing. The only issue I had was when the volume on the car wouldnt work. I took it to the dealership and they had it fixed. I havent had any issues since.
