The finish quality is terrible

I was excited to be picking up my new and 6th Range Rover. However, the quality of the finish was awful, the top infotainment screen was faulty on day two, the roof panel has some serious pain flaws, the drivers side window has a problem with the window seal, and the list goes on. A real shame based on the hype and initial experience.

Wonderful Car - Terrible Technology

The Land Rover, Range Rover Velar First Edition is an absolutely beautiful luxury SUV with stunning design and fabulous materials. Unfortunately, the infotainment, car control system and virtual dash are plagued with software glitches and often will work erratically and sometimes not at all. After a year and a half of software updates and patches it’s just as bad as the day I drove it off the lot. Unless your tolerance for repairs and software patches is extremely high I would avoid this or any other Land Rover product. It’s a great car. Too bad it doesn’t work.

Stay away from this vehicle

Numerous issues from dead battery (3 times) coolant leak (2 times) and multiple noises and rattles that won’t go away. We have had our 2018 Velar in the shop 5 times in 9 months. With 7,700 miles on it, we are wondering what the next 7,700 miles will bring us. If you enjoy the coffee at the service lounge then by all means by this car, cause you drink plenty of it!

Looks amazing

After testing Macan , Volvo XC 90 and F Pace the choice was easy. We landed on a D275 R Dynamic. The car is amazing.

Full of “Bugs”

It took 15 months before we started liking the car due to irritating problems. Mostly software ypdated that took days in the shop (we had loaners) and a winter side window defrosting/fogging issue that was dangerous. I’ll never own another LR. My first and last. I paid too much as a First Edition. My fault. What I like? It’s a fast SUV and rides well.
