2016 Lexus GX 460 consumer reviews

Had my 2016 gx for a year and a half now got it wit 50,000 miles 2 previous owners drove it across the country twice has a 113,000 miles now and hasnt given me one problem just regular service and maintenance. I highly recommend this vehicle. Switched to lexus from GM and its the best decision I ever made.

Does so many things well. Fulfills the promise that the luxury mid-size SUV always held out but rarely fully reached - family hauling (seats 5-7), cargo toting, trailer towing, highway cruising, off-roading, winter driving, luxury interior, maneuverable/garageable, and even durability/reliability (this is fundamentally a Toyota truck, and built to a higher standard than even Tacoma) all in one package. Only downsides are fuel economy and complex infotainment, but no vehicle is perfect.

Feels good in traffic and on the road! Roomy and rides well plus being comfortable! Perfect car in a winter storm. Power enough for a SUV.

Driving my GX460 is like sitting in the comfortable captains chair of the USS Enterprise (you know, Captian Kirks chair?) and calling out "Engage!" I don't need any more power Scotty! I've got power to spare and I literally feel like I'm in total command of the space around me as I float down the highway. Beautiful car too. I love the lines, the interior, the fact that its a Toyota product and like the StarTrek series it will most likely last for 40+ years with several capable and karismatic captains at its helm. This GX460 is going to take be to mostly familiar places but also strange new places I've never been before! (and get me there and back in style and saftey).

This is a unique vehicle, I don’t think anything else is quite like it. Comfortable, quiet, off road capable, great fit and finish, and reliable. If you buy one, you won’t be sorry.

It's not often that luxury comes paired with adaptive variable suspension and crawl control but Lexus has managed it in this SUV with chiseled fenders, alloy wheels and the imposing stance of the GX 460 make it impossible to ignore.

Worst SUV I have ever owned, bought it brand new, wears tires out every 6-8k miles (Michelin). The front stabilizing shock has had to be replaced which was leaking. The front end shakes and feels like the tires are out of balance. It currently is parked because it does not feel safe to drive. Very disappointing and a huge waste of money. The rear swing door is an absolute pain, the climate control is not user friendly and the ride itself is not smooth or quiet. I have been told that the problems I have had is because of where I live and how I drive, which I do not understand d/t the fact we have 3 other vehicles with over 300000 miles with no issues. This vehicle was made to be a city SUV. I do not recommend it if you actually live in the country and need a real SUV.

This car met all of my families needs. We love road trips. I love how much room it gives our family. We have had zero problems.

Came from a Bmw. My 4th X5. Got upset with the constant repair bills (all before 70k miles) Bought the gx460- will never look back. Solid, quiet, comfortable, capable.

This car has mesmerized me with the exterior deign the performance, the detail the everything! I can not get over how beautiful this car is and how amazing it is deigned! Underneath is pure strength and bulk, nothing will fail you under there or the hood, it’s capeavle of off-roading, has amazing sound system, and amazing comfort! I don’t think I will ever own a different car!
