2017 Lexus GX 460 consumer reviews

Fantastic SUV. Swiss Army Knife of SUVs. Snow, towing, hauling, groceries, and going to a nice dinner, this SUV does it all. Mine is 2017 Luxury with Driver Assist package fully loaded with tow package and captain's chairs. It is my 8th Lexus (my wife has her 3rd RX 350, my daughter has IS 250, and I have had an LS 460L ($104K car!) and two GX 350s, all loaded. All perfect and zero issues. I live in Ohio and I run Blizzak snow tires in winter. The traction is amazing. The sound system is better than in my LS and it is quieter than the LS. I hated my LS due to tiny trunk and is the only Lexus that did not suit my needs and taste, FWIW. I am 59 and retired aerospace engineer, and will drive my GX until it no longer runs, I no longer run, or there is no more gas to buy. I have been a Toyota/Lexus fanboy for 20+ years. The GX does everything that I want it to do and it does it very well. I enjoy it that much.

When we purchased my SUV it ran smoothly. When we had the trailer package installed it’s supper bouncy and not smooth. Then when we asked why it was bouncy the dealership said that a stabilizer button wasn’t part of the package!

It’s only 5 years newer than my trade in, but drives like a new car. It’s like riding on a cloud, turns like a sports car and very responsive.

Very comfortable and reliable. Feel and ride smooth. Feels little heavy when braking. V8 feels very smooth both on road and hwy. It's a Lexus. No complaints so far.

Using the example language, this vehicle does meet all our needs. I like the side and rear warning system - they have saved me on more than one occasion. Very nice ride but as expected, you can't pass many gas stations without having to refill.

It is very elegant, yet rugged. It has plenty of room for our family of five. I love that it handles great on the street and can handle off-road situations, also.

I loved my new Lexus SUV. Then we had the trailer package added 2 weeks later. It drives terribly. The bumps are herrendous to endure. Being a passenger is very uncomfortable and non stop bouncing. When asked about this problem I was informed by Lexus that I should have a button that will stabilize the suv and prevent that from happening. Guess what, it doesn't come with the packages I bought? What? why would they not automatically install with the trailer hitch package? Im speechless.

This is my 5th Lexus and my 2nd GX. My favorite car was my LS and my most fun car was the IS. I live in the mountains now and the GX is perfect. Drives like a dream!
