Large enough to carry a family

by from Yadkinville on September 14, 2017

Beautiful luxury car. Comfortable ride. Owned for 136,000 miles never had one problem. Carried my 5 grandchildren with the 3 rows until they grew very tall.

This car engulfs you in luxury options you didn't even know were available. Styling, performance, ride were all excellent. The features that were standard, heated and cooled front and rear seats, color change ambient lighting, panoramic roof, and even a rear fridge, you eithrr dont get or pay more in another luxury vehicle compared to the price you pay for the lincoln. The only reason I switched was the unbeatable extended warranty in my Lexus. I must say that the Lexus service is outstanding, and the vehicle is great, but much more cost than my Lincoln.

But not nearly as big and hard to enter/exit as a Tahoe/Suburban or Navigator. The MKT is a perfect crossover vehicle, truly a blend of car and SUV with unusual but pleasing exterior esthetics. I've never owned a car this long. It's just big enough to provide a wonderful luxury ride, sitting upright in the supportive heated and cooled seats. Incredible THX stereo and 20" wheels make for fun long distance driving. While not overpowered, the 6 cylinder 270 HP engine does just fine in heavy traffic. This car will carry almost anything with two of three rows of seats folded flat, and it's perfect for everyday hauling lighter things. Most dependable car I've owned and has never left me stranded.

Best car I have ever owned.

by from Aubrey, Texas on March 20, 2017

Love this SUV. Lots of room and fun to drive. Pleanty of power. Solid car with great visibility when driving. Get lots of complaints when out and about.

I have had the vehicle for 5 years my father has a Navigator and an MKX my mother has a MKX and a MKC and I have a sister who has a Navigator (although she had to have the engine replaced with-in the first year). I bought it as a lease turn-in. We loved the styling of the car and it had all the features we wanted. Our MKT has the Elite Pkg, Premium Pkg and everything else you can name except the DVD system in the rear seats. I love the refrigerator/freezer in the 2nd row console along with the second row heated and cooled seats. I'll never buy another car without cooled seats! Now the bad. This is the worst car I have owned since my 1998 Volvo. I got rid of that junk in under a year. Since day one there has been a noise in the lower part of the engine, dealer could never figure it out. This car seems to stall but yet is still running it just won't go and then it slams into gear and lunges. Driving on the highway with cruise is constantly being cancelled due to this "stalling". I had an incident where the collision warning system alerted me with the flashing red lights and beeping but there was no car in sight and the car slammed to an abrupt stop. The panoramic roof leaked and was removed several times only to find out the windshield was leaking. The dealership replaced the collision warning sensor located behind the front bumper stating the bracket was broken yet the mechanic that replaced it said the bracket was faulty. Lincoln "helped" me with it and gave me a discount for repairs. My portion was $1600. Last month the car started to vibrate and the check engine light came on. I took it straight to the dealership and left it. I got a call from them and they wanted to know who had been working on the engine and I replied no one but them I even have the oil changed at the dealer. Apparently the air intake hose had come loose. They said it would not have happened there yet no one else has ever done anything under the hood but them. Now they have also "discovered" the lower engine noise/rattle to be the timing chain! I could go on and continue writing this book but I'll stop at the fact that I will never buy another Lincoln, never ever!

I purchased used- due to terrible resale value (sorry ford). I purchased as a second vehicle so I had something comfortable to get my elderly mother around. I could not be happier, I purchased the non turbo and I get far better gas milage than the ecoboost engine gets. Currently I get 20 in town and on the hwy I easily get 28 an I live in a hilly area - I suspect even better if I was in flat area. For a 5000 pound car I continually amazed at how well this car drives and handles. I also own a 2002 Thunderbird conv. and a 2013 Focus Titanium and I find myself driving the Lincoln more and more. I am scared to drive the EcoBoost version in fear that I will Trade this one off for it - Luckily I love the one so much I will resist the temptation. In short Drive one for yourself.

I am sooooooo disappointed in this vehicle fortunately I purchased it as a preowned vehicle because it is no where near worth the sticker price. The take off, pick up and or when trying to pass or even merge on the freeway is unbelievable horrible, you might as well wait your turn or else you will get hit or honked out of the way, I was on the freeway the other day and a neon went around me because I was merging on and couldn't pick up enough speed, how horrible is that, the only good thing is when I finally get up enough speed it does ride good and smooth. On the inside electrical system is also horrible, I have to adjust my outside mirror EVERYTIME I get in the car, nothing seems to function well, phone calls are always dropped and lost. I could go on and on but I would just say for the money go foreign, I have always bought foreign and my family convinced me to get an American vehicle so I did, worst mistake I ever made, the only good thing is that I still have my car (Lexus LS 460), therefore the Lincoln is just a second winter car, but I will NEVER leave LEXUS for nothing in the world, Sorry Big three UAW, I tried!

Purchased my MKT about 2 1/2 years ago. Was looking for a vehicle that had a lot of room, got good mpg and good performance. The MKT has exceeded my expectations. Lots of room, better performance than most V8s and great gas mileage. Rides like a sports sedan, not a large SUV. The overall quality and build are great. Have not had any problems what so ever. Good job FORD!

We have 6 kids but only 5 kid's full time. My wife's 2004 Escalade ESV not only was falling apart but it just drank gas (almost as bad as my H2 Hummer). After we got past the grille, this car has more technology then cars that are 3x the price. We bought ours used with 12K miles on it and it is worth every penny. Voice activated everything, Blind Spot Sensors, Lights that high beam automatically and turn with the steering wheel and a bunch of other really cool things like paddle shifters! Best of all, it fits all of us comfortably and is much better on gas than the Escalade. I also like that it an American Car!
