Key Points

  • For 2026, Maserati’s all-electric Grecale Folgore SUV gets a more efficient all-wheel-drive system that boosts range to around 360 miles.
  • The SUV also gets an update to the electric-vehicle routing component of its navigation system.

Maserati’s Grecale Folgore, the luxury brand’s all-electric, five-seat compact SUV, launched at the top of the Grecale lineup for the 2025 model year and gets a revised AWD system that adds more range and efficiency to the EV for 2026.

The new AWD-Disconnect system sends power to the rear wheels when traction to all four isn’t required, reducing the Folgore’s energy consumption and boosting range to around 360 miles. That’s a significant jump over model-year 2025’s EPA-rated range of 206 to 245 miles, depending on equipment.

Maserati says the process disengages the front axle shafts from the hubs and takes just 500 milliseconds. It requires no interaction from the driver and is managed autonomously using a network of sensors that monitors a variety of data: torque demand, brake temperature, road gradient, instantaneous speed and acceleration, selected driving mode, outside temperature and activation of vehicle dynamic control systems.

In addition, the Grecale Folgore also gets an update to the EV routing component of its navigation system for 2026. Maserati says the new Dynamic Range Mapping feature provides a visual representation of the maximum distance achievable on a map based on battery status, with real-time updates based on driving conditions and driving habits.

The 2026 Grecale Folgore’s pricing is not yet available, but the 2025 model starts at $121,895 (price includes $1,995 destination charge).
