Great for the money

Great car. I have turbo version and it is very fun to drive. I do wish it had a larger gas tank. I get about 300 miles out of a tank of breast.

wouldn't choose again

After driving the CX-30 for about 5 months, I’m not as happy as I thought I would be. On the plus side: it looks good, layout is good, info system with knob works really well after some practice (more auto companies should have this), seats comfortable for short trips, handles well. After driving a little while, weakness become very apparent, like 1) Constant beeping as soon as the engine is turned on. Mazda dealer said this did this to the CX-30 buyers (buyers of smaller less expensive cars) because they were too dumb to put on their seatbelts (the more expensive Mazda’s don’t do this). Easy fix is to buy a seatbelt extender (stops the noise and easier to fasten) 2) built in spyware – if you use Mazda connect – you are tracked, speed, location, driving habits. If you select to turn this off in the menu, then it asks you every time you start the car if you want to enable. This is disturbing. 3) Small gas tank. If the car averaged 40 MPG, 12 gallons would be enough. I average ~28 and require frequent refilling. 4) Driving position – good for short trips under 30 min. Longer drivers and you feel stuck. With the high windows, putting your arm up is difficult. 5) Air noise around the door seal – becomes very noticeable on the highway and longer trips. The dealer says that is normal for CX-30 6) Cruise control. I tried using it & didn’t like it (or the wear on the rear brakes – dealer said rear brakes were down 20% after 4,000 miles due to this feature) Mazda lets you cancel this, but you have to do it each time you start the car. This is a safety issue – as folks are now navigation sub menus to turn this off as they drive when they should be watching the road. 7) Electronics seems to be inconsistent – parking brake doesn’t turn off 10% of the time when switching into gear and seems to be odd messages displaying at times (like “radar cruise doesn’t work a low speeds”). Seemed like a good car with a test drive, but I would not buy a CX-30 again.

Fine Machine

Soul red crystal paint best red ever. Turbo offers lots of power and good mileage. Interior is excellent. Quality thru out. Heads up display is cool. Adapative cruise is nice. Fit and finish is top notch. Has a shifter! No push buttons and no CVT!

Best car you can buy for the money!

I have been buying/leasing cars for over 45 years and this is, by far, the best car I ever had for the money I spent. You simply can’t go wrong if you want a great car that won’t break the bank. I’m a Mazda buyer for life.

Fun and Reliable

It's the first vehicle that I have ever owned that I take out driving just for sake of driving! No destination just driving... I get a big grin every time I press the accelerator on my CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus trim. I am very happy with it and very happy that Mazda holds the top spot at consumer reports for reliability. The funny thing is, Mazda was not even on my radar originally, but it happens that it was one of the few dealerships in my area that had any inventory. Once I test drove it....It was Game Over! Went home and did a bunch or research and found out all the good stuff...went back the next day and bought it.
