Great Ride!

I'm looking for a new car and with so many options out there, it's over whelming. I test drove the CX-5 and fell in love! The way it handles, the smooth ride, comfy interior. I'm sold!

I love my "mid-life crisis red" SUV

I'm thrilled after two weeks of owning my 2014 Mazda CX-5 in Soul Red Metallic. It is nice to sit up high and have air conditioning again. The car is the perfect red, and it handles curves well with a fairly small turning radius for its size. I'm looking forward to AWD in the Minnesota winter. I would have preferred a lighter interior, but the red only comes with black, so I'm getting used to it (slowly). Still, I love my car!

Great SUV

I love my CX-5. It's very comfortable and gets great gas mileage. Great sounds system and backup camera. I enjoy the sun/roof moon/roof and the sync to Pandora.

Mazda CX-5 14. Review

great ride and gas mileage and good safety ratings with little bit of cabin noise. This car is a good cost value vs competitiora like RAV4 and CRV

2nd Mazda SUV

This is our 2nd Mazda SUV. The CX-5 is roomy and has plenty of gadgets. The car is for my son and he loves it. Has great clearance height and easy to get into and out of.

If you like SUV, this probably is the best value.

The exterior style is great. At least I like it much better than the competitors. The performance is outstanding and reliable. The engine is made in Japan, powerful yet fuel-saving. The only drawback might be the old-school interior decoration.

Great Value, Loaded - Great Family Car

CX-5 Grand Touring is loade with all the bells and whistkes many competitors charge you extra for. Have had this car for 4 years and it has been extremely reliable. Was a great buy and held up to family living.

Very good car but needs better software

The performance in terms of acceleration and economy are the best I've ever had in a car. I love having seat warmers and independent climate controls. The overall looks inside and out are great. The things I don't like are the lack of individual seat controls. We are a 2 person family and each drive this CX-5. It would have been great to have the seat and steering wheel adjust for each of us at the push of a button. The mirrors we can move easily but adding the side mirrors to an individual setting on a button would also be nice. The biggest 'fail' Mazda has with this model is the integrated entertainment/navigation system. First of all, the nav is NOT intuitive. Simple things like adding a favorite are hidden. Secondly the CD player died early. We took it in and it was 'fixed'. An update to the Nav was offered online shortly after that. After I updated the nav, the CD player was dead again. And all the favorites in the nav disappeared. We live too far away to just pop over and have it fixed again. I do like the USB connector and the extra power stations (cigarette lighter style) in the front and back. I do wish there was better lateral support for the driver. I like to have my arms resting on arm rests for long trips, but one side is lacking these. But my biggest complaint is the dealer support. They try to get you to commit to hundreds of dollars worth of 'regular maintenance' when all you need is an oil change. And even then, they tell you that a synthetic oil is all they will cover for warranty coverage. That of course is dozens of dollars more than one would pay at a Jiffy Lube or similar business. I know dealers make their money from service, but cramming hundreds of dollars worth of nothing inspections/adjustments to a regular visit for an oil change have made me a much bigger supporter of the local car repair shops.
