More than I expected.
I've been a fan of manual transmission vehicles for a long time and after owning an automatic for ten years I decided to go back to stick shift. I knew that it would be difficult to find a manual crossover and I didn't think there would be much in the way of comfort if I did find one. Surprisingly, when I test drove the 2014 Mazda CX-5 Sport it provided all the fun of a manual, the versatility of a crossover, and much of the style and comfort I would expect in a higher-end vehicle. Taking it on long drives is lovely, and even though city driving is not always enjoyable with a manual I find the gear box to be forgiving and responsive. Obviously it does not have the beefiest of engines available for the CX-5, but I do appreciate the savings at the gas tank, and honestly I can pull enough torque out of it with the manual when I need to. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has the yearning for a hot hatch-back but might need a little more room.

Best Bang for your buck!
This crossover is stylish and performs well on the highway and in the city. The interior is bigger it appears with lots of leg room. We have the grand touring model with a nose stereo sound system. I have owned a boss before but this is the best sounding by far (better than luxury cars). The car is comfortable, but the steering wheel is too hard. That's my only complaint and why I gave a 4 on comfort.

Great crossover
Great gas mileage. The only two things that are negative is tbat the shift can easily be knocked into manual by accident. Annoying for me. Also, I was told the brakes need replaced every 6 months because of hpw they are made. Looking at over $200every 6 months.

Great performance and value.
This car is an excellent blend of performance and value. We had narrowed down our choices to the Ford Escape and the Mazda CX-5, and the top model Mazda was significantly less expensive than a similar Escape. The reliability of the vehicle has been excellent, of course, and the performance is outstanding. I'm especially impressed with the power of the vehicle in conjunction with the excellent gas mileage (we're averaging 33-35 MPG).

Great Car!
I love my CX-5 Touring. It drives great and handles even better. There are multiple safety and convenience features. You can't beat the gas mileage for this type of car. The only complaints about this car are the interior is small and there are no air vents in the back seat other than under the seat. It is not the best when you have small children due to the size and the air. The back seat gets hot and takes awhile to cool off. I would highly recommend the car to anyone without a family but would say consider the air circulation if you have small children.

A great all-around auto. It has never failed me and is a pleasure to drive. The electronics are amazing with crash-avoidance, emergency braking, and lane change.
