Amazed how great this car is for the price!

This car has everything that I was looking for in an SUV without draining my bank account. The interior features are luxury-like without the price tag! Would recommend this car to anyone looking for an upgraded but safe and reliable SUV.

4 years of reliability and style

We bought our 2016 CX5 GT, fully loaded, back in spring of 2016. We used this vehicle for our business's transportation shuttle and to daily commute in a busy metro area, in a four season state with plenty of pot holes due to salted streets. This car has been great in the snow, I feel much more safe and confident driving this suv than my full size 4x4 pickup truck. The safety features on this vehicle is a life saver! The lane departure warning, blind spot monitors, and backup camera w/ warning have all saved me from near missed incidents! If you're buying a used CX5 I highly recommend you to purchase one with these safety features (all 2016.5 models come w/ standard backup camera, fyi). Prior to our purchase, we test drove a 2016 Rav4 xle, 2016 honda crv ex, and a 2015 bmw X1 xLine. The only car that can be compared to the BMW was the Mazda CX5 GT. A timeless exterior design, quality interior materials compared to toyota and honda, a very user friendly infotainment system w/ excellent audio quality. We've been averaging mpg at 22mpg for city driving but highway driving will bump our mpg to 30-33. The cons: I wish mazda did a better job at muffling the engine noise from the cabin, it's a bit loud. On start up the infotainment system takes a few seconds too long to load. This is more of a preference, but I think the suspension might be a bit stiff for those not used to sportier tuned suspension. The cx5 were built for drivers, and mazda does a great job on suspension tuning but it's not for everyone. My last complaint would be about the location of the radar sensor. The sensor is the front emblem and in the winter snow will accumulate on the emblem as you're driving, causing the radar to be blocked then you get a warning on your dash. Overall, great car. Mazda cars used to be questionable in terms of quality but since they parted ways with Ford their brand has become a breath of fresh air in a sea of boring/tasteless affordable vehicles.

The best vehicle I have owned in a long time

This vehicle has been wonderful to own so far. I have never owned a Mazda before & if this continues to be a great vehicle, I will continue to purchase Mazda's. Wish there were a few more standard features but overall LOVE IT!

Comfortable, reliable, great MPG and fun to drive.

Before purchasing the CX-5 I tested drove other comparable SUVs. What sold me is I liked the style, the handling and performance. In addition it had a good rating. Four years later I have had no problems with this SUV.

DJ CX5 2016

I have owned a 626, Protege and now the CX5. Mazda finally got it right....reliable, great handling. Quick enough. I have had one issue with the day time running lights.

Love my Mazda!

Great small SUV. Perfect for Co weather and gets great gas mileage. Previous had a CX9 and tried different brand just to lead us back to Mazda. The grand touring package is perfect. Tons of upgrades and luxury but not too complicated for my simple mind!
