INTERESTING COVERSION

i USED to own a 2011 camaro which was nice but cramped. I needed more room and a comfortable ride. This vehicle covers it all Not quite the large edition but perfect for me. Interior is perfect for what I need. easy to drive with out all the drive assist , park assist stuff the newer ones have this has a solid comfortable ride and handles well. I used to drive a camaro but this has great pick up too. VERY QUIET RIDE. I also resolved to get my new vehicle in Blue and so that is what I got. Sleek styling and very sporty. Enjoying this car and will for years.

Love Mazda

So far so good... just bought a used one but I also have a 2012 Mazda 6 and it’s still holding at almost 300,00 with no major replacements. If u keep them up they hold up exceptionally

Great car and excellent AWD system

We purchased the Mazda CX-5 Touring for the wife to be able to drive up the canyon for work in the winter in Utah. It has so far proven to be a wonderful purchase. She loves the features it has and how well the All-Wheel Drive system has worked in the few days so far that she has had to use it. I love the efficiency that the SkyActiv engine gives. for a small SUV the mileage is amazing. Wish it had a slightly bigger gas tank but everything else on the car has been great.

Best car we have owned

We have been very pleased so far. It has enough power for us and we love the blind spot warning signal. We are short and it's still hard to get into (bumping our head). But once we are in, it is very comfortable.

I like it but gas mileage is killing me

I really like the look and I like the center console sound knobs, I didn't think I would when I bought it. Driver's seat doesn't go back far enough and I'm only 6'0", I should have realized it upon test drive. Paint chips unusually easily. Interior design needs more little "cubbies" for chapstick, coins, work keys, etc.. Gas mileage is not good at all. Acceleration is very weak. I like how it sits up higher than a sedan, easy to get in/out of.

Overall GOOD car

This is a good overall car and I believe it is worth its value. From owning this car for a month, it seems to provide the best value for its price. The interior appearance and comfort, gas mileage, exterior design, safety features, spaciousness, handling, and turn radius make this car worth the value. The AWD is also a plus. It is a fun car to drive. Do note that this car has average acceleration, but it is fun to use the manual trans and sport features. The other knock on this car is the sub-par stereo and the radio controls. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase and would definitely recommend checking this car out for yourself.

Best in class

Was looking for mid size SUV's I checked many brands came down to Honda or Mazda, I picked the 2016 CX-5 G.T. has lots of room (great headroom) you think your in a bigger SUV, quality of materials were excellent and a bunch of power when you need it. (Jeep could not even climb a small hill no power 4cyl)

Superb SUV! The Grand Touring is a Luxury SUV!

After owning six Lexus vehicles and and one BMW since 1994, I surprised myself when I bought a 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring. But, I must say, it's an incredible vehicle ... and unbelievable for the price. After 68,000 miles it has needed nothing but routine maintenance, and needless to say, that maintenance cost way less than on the Lexus's and the BMW. Ironically, the ride quality is like a marriage of Lexus and BMW ... the smoothness of a Lexus and the zippy fun driving quality of BMW. It may not be quite as luxurious as those vehicles, however the Grand Touring is way beyond expectations for the price. Well appointed and meticulously trimmed. I have the AWD and the mileage is a little less than advertised. I drive about 70% city, 30% highway, and have averaged 24.7MPG over the life of the SUV and the MPG is as consistent now as when new. I live in a hilly area of Silicon Valley and I'm sure that contributes to the MPG as my previous vehicles also had lower than advertised MPG. As a side note, my son bought, a 2019 CX-5 three months ago, and it is super nice too, probably a little sharper on exterior front end and dashboard styling depending on your taste. However, both my wife and I agree after driving my son's new CX-5 that we think the 2016 drives just a bit better ... their both great though.

Great value

I was looking to upgrade to an SUV so I could have more space for my 3 dogs to travel with me. I went with the CX-5 because it gave me the sporty feel I was going for while also giving me features I would’ve paid thousands more for in other brands. Mazda has a great reputation and so far in my experience it’s living up to it.
