The Mazda CX-5 was a complete beneficial surprise!

Upon checking reviews on the most 10 affordable SUV's, the Mazda CX-5 was one of them, but not only was it affordable, it rated excellent on engine performance with good mpg. Being a devoted Honda owner for years I found this incredible! I did further research and the Mazda engine continued to come on top. I consider the engine performance to be a very important factor when buying a car. Nevertheless, I was still unconvinced and I had to test drive it. The CX-5 proved to be more than expected. Before this, I had never even heard of Mazda! Standard equipment and features on this SUV are added accessories for other cars, specially Honda. I am more than pleased with the Mazda CX-5 because I'm getting good value for the price, plus a reliable engine!!

Reliable, efficient & FUN to drive for a SUV

The new body style CX-5 is truly one of the finest cars under $30,000 I have driven on many aspects. Fuel economy is excellent for an AWD crossover, I am averaging 27-28 mixed highway / city. Spunky enough, but not overly fast, the handling and ride balance is of a car much more expensive. The road noise is minimal, the Bose stereo is fantastic to boot! Overall, very fun to drive and in a class of its own being fun to drive, quiet and not over-priced. Zero trouble with mine, which not all my new cars have been - Keep up the great work Mazda!

CX-5's a 5 star

stylish and sporty but there aren't as many as every other Crossover SUV made. you start looking around and everybody has a GMC Terrain or a Ford Escape or a Chevy. the sante fe is sharp too....

A little too pricey

I like the car. It is comfortable and rides smooth. Very quiet and I like the blue color and the non leather seats. I would like the Moonroof to open more.

An excellent small SUV

I bought this car new after owning a 2007 and a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. When I was shopping, I first looked at the Honda CR-V and thought I was sold until I tried the CX-5. The difference between the CX-5, the equinox, and the CR-V is night and day. The CX-5 drives extremely smooth and quiet, has a very nicely styled interior, especially considering its price range, and is actually fun to drive, something I never thought possible with a small SUV. I'd definitely recommend the CX-5 to anyone looking for a small SUV that has all of the benefits of an SUV but that drives like a car.

Brand new and surpasses out expectations,

So far we love it. I would not be without the Premium Package, the best. The Grand Touring is so smooth and solid compared to out Rav-4. The options it came with I could not be without now that I have experienced them. We love the jutting nose and the style that makes it look like a cat.
