2019 Mazda CX-5 consumer reviews

The Mazda CX-5 is fun to drive. Handling is easy and smooth. Takes curves well. Very responsive steering. Gas mileage averages 26 mpg in city which is economical. Built well with multiple non Takada airbags. Interior is fairly spacious. I drove a MB GLC and found almost no leg room drivers and passengers side. Compared to this Mazda CX-5 is hands down a much better designed car. I also found the cargo area fairly spacious and adequate for most purposes. Rear seats fold down on a 40-20-40 split independantly so very convenient. Infotainment with Premium package is good value with a 10 speaker Bose system. Options for Bose Centerpoint and AudioPoint are available to select from. iPhonePlay or Android Auto connectivity included. Touchscreen options when vehicle not in motion. Hands free phone and text messages are read to you. For a SUV this size - vehicle above 200hp would be nice to have - not complaining on the 187hp that it comes with as it makes it eco drive. Also have option to shift to Sport drive mode which real packs surprising power and zips away (Zoom zoom), but the RPM needle moves to 4k+ revs which is unsettling as you feel engine is taking a beating and burning gas so you tend not to use this feature much. Overall really great bang for the buck around 26K for a good size crossover SUV.

The CX5 is fun to drive and excellent on the highway as I drive to work. Love all the storage and I feel safe in this car.

This car had met my needs. Former CX3 owner and really love the power, handling and room of this car. Well designed and shows Mazada efforts of continuous improvement.

It's a lot of car for the money. Well equipped I like the design. Miss the keyless entry but it has a lot of useful features.

Absolutely in love with my new CX-5, my precious car was a BMW X3 and I feel even more comfortable and secure in this Mazda. It’s incredible the value and how luxurious everything feels and looks for this price. Highly recommend!

excellent overall updated car had 2 cx7's and they were getting outdated and waited for cx5 to come up to new standards and thet did for 2019

Very tight little machine! Fun to drive. My only disappointment is the in-city gas mileage - about 17.5 mpg., although it seems to do fine on the highway - mid 30's. (It is the signature model with the turbo and when that kicks in it's well worth the reduced mileage.)

This car is perfect for me. The price was right, the trim is great, the color is pretty, the seats are comfortable, it rides like a dream!

Can't really speak to reliability with just 5,000 miles but the car is sweet. Comfort, ride, features and the styling. Out of sight. The more we drive it the more we love it. Only wish MPG was a little better. Still, this is a great car.

So far so good. It is a comfortable ride and I'm still getting acquainted with all it has to offer. I haven't had it long enough to expand on this
