Favorite car I've ever owned

I can't speak too much to reliability since I haven't owned the car very long - but it's so fun to drive: smooth, quiet, fantastic acceleration. The safety features are incredible and the bose 12-speaker stereo makes my commute something I actually look forward to

Most uncomfortable seat I've sat on in 20 yrs

Super bells and whistles but cut cost on driver and front passenger seats. Not car comfort for trips over 25 miles!!! 2010 CX-9 had great seats, not so in 2017!

I love my new CX-9!

I love my CX-9 more the longer I own it! I read a lot of reviews before I purchased so I was aware of the lack of adjustment of the driver seat and weak a/c some ppl reported and I was concerned but fell head over heels when I test drove the vehicle. I was also shopping the Cadillac XT-5 and a used 16 INFINITY QX60, the CX-9 was just so much more fun to drive and it doesn't feel as large as it is. About the drivers seat...I am only 5'4" and I am perfectly comfortable driving, the longest I have driven is 4 hours but didn't have any issues. I was really afraid of the a/c but it felt great in the test drive and I live in Coastal Alabama so it's very hot! When I first got the vehicle I had to play around with the a/c settings and it's working fine now, I keep it set to recirculation. I've had it for 2 months now and have not had a second of buyers remorse, I parked next to a QX60 today and compared them side by side and must say I'm happy I chose my Mazda! It's very comfortable and steady on the highway, it feels like it's hugging the road but I sit up high enough to see everything very well. I like having the 3rd row but don't really need it as I only one child. Gas mileage is averaging 22 combined. I find the infotainment system very easy to use and since I'm a little older, the lack of apple car play isn't a deal breaker for me! I wish it had a 360 camera, cooled front seats and auto tilting side mirrors, those options would make it perfect in my opinion!

Lovin' my new CX-9

I am a previous owner of a 2008 CX-9 and loved it but can't touch the 2017 model. The new CX-9 design is sleek and sexy both the exterior and interior. Bose sound system is amazing. The car drives well and is comfortable. Only wish it had a panoramic sunroof and apple play but other than that no complaints.

Good but not great

Mazda really impressed me with how fun this SUV is to drive. It just does not feel like an SUV at all. The dealer was kind enough to let me and my family on a long test drive just by ourselves. We took it on errands like grocery shopping, mountain driving (we live in Colorado), city and traffic and driving. The vehicle preformed great. However, there were things that I noticed that sort of turned me off. The first thing was the smart key, you have to push a button to unlock the car then pull the handle. You can't just pull on the handle to unlock the car. It's just an extra step that's unneeded. Secondly, you can't adjust the rear temperature from the drivers seat. It was in the mid 90s and I like it cold whereas my wife likes it warm. My daughter, who is in a toddler seat, also likes it warm and started to complain it was too cold. I had to stop the car, jump into the 2nd row and adjust the temperature there. Other little things o noticed were how much the rear view mirror and over head display vibrated while driving. It wasn't bad at first but then you start noticing it the more you drive. Other than those things, it was a fun car to drive. Very quiet with hardly any road noise considering how big the Gran Touring wheels are. I would have considered it but it just doesn't lease as good as a Toyota Highlander which has more features.

Second cx-9

This is the second cx-9 that I have bought. I was concerned when I heard it went from 6 to 4 cylinders. But with Turbo it has the power when I need it. I love the backup camera and the headsup display is awesome. Couldn't be happier with my car.

SOOOOO Fun to Drive

Whether its trips to Costco, driving the kids to sports practice, or taking the dogs around town, this car beats all other crossovers in the FUN TO DRIVE category. Luxurious interior, practical, and sport, you will love being behind the wheel. You owe it to yourself to test drive one - I guarantee you'll want one after you do! Nothing else compares for the price.

I Had No Idea This Car Existed

In the same class as Infinity and Lexus for less $$$$. I love the turbo engine that gives me plenty of power, with better fuel economy than the competition. If you are looking for a 3rd row SUV, you need to take a look at the Mazda CX-9.

Test Drove Many, The CX 9 Topped them All

I drove and measured 15 SUV/cars and chose the CX 9 for the length of the cargo area with the seats folded down and the handling and acceleration. Love the fit and finish of the Grand Touring and the safety, electronics and bells and whistles for the price. The Bose radio is wonderful.
