Better than many luxury crossovers

After suffering the repair costs of an aging 2008 luxury suv, I thought I would downsize to the Honda CR-V. After the test drive I was so dissappointed. It felt cramped for me and my husband (he?s 6?4) and anyone sitting behind him would have to sit crossed legged. I owned an Accord years ago and felt it was a reliable car however I was quickly reminded how noisy the Honda can be. Tried Toyota Highlander and it felt like I was driving a truck. Once I test drove the cx9 I was sold. It handles like a small car but rides like a luxury sedan. In my opinion, there are just too many Honda CR-vs on the road and others that look very similar. I like Mazda?s unique look.

Sporty looking and the most fun to drive SUV

I was in the market looking for an midsize SUV and I test drove Nissan Pathfinder, Honda Pilot, Toyoto Highlander, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Infiniti QX60 and the Mazda CX-9. The Highlander and Pilot were the most disappointing amongst all with cheap plastic interior and sloppy driving experience (I tried all vehicles with the highest trim level). The Pathfinder was good but the steering feel was very heavy as it?s sibling, the QX60 has a better driving feel but the CVT was a down point to it as don?t like CVT and I had owned a 2017 Maxima which had a CVT transmission. The Jeep Grand cherokee felt heavy and almost feels like you were driving a pick up truck and it had lots of body roll around the corners. I had the least expectations with the CX-9 compared to the other cars I have test driven but I was totally surprised with its looks and the high quality interior, it almost felt like I?m in a high end luxury vehicle like an Audi or Mercedes. The engine was torquey and very responsive around corners with least body roll and very fun to drive. Even though with its bigger size, it felt like I?m driving a sports sedan, the steering was very responsive and smoother ride. Mazda did a very good job in reducing road noise coming inside the cabin and it feels very quiet and comfortable inside. I am very happy to own this SUV and it was way cheaper than all the above mentioned.

Drives smaller. Great torque means response.

I like it more than the Jeep Grand Cherokee that it replaced. Way better value. Much better comfort. Interior and ergonomics superb. Steering and ride excellent. Torque is nice. 50 more horses would be ok. No slouch. Great handling.

In Love with my 2018 Mazda CX-9

I upgrade to this vehicle from a 2014 Dodge Dart. I was looking for more room since our family was expanding. From the leg room to the three rows. We maxed out our comfort with this pick and are very pleased. I would choose again over a million times with this SUV.

Great family car, and fun to drive

So the biggest compliant about this car that I have is the remote start feature. You either have to get a completely separate dongle, or use the app on your phone. Both cost well over $600 with labor and parts. Outside of that, the car is brilliantly designed both inside and out. It has ample get up with the 2.5L Turbocharged engine. There is plenty of space inside for the first two rows, even with the front seats all the way back. The third row is not adult friendly, but plenty of space for kids. The gas mileage is around 20 mpg for me.

Love my CX 9

Love to drive my new CX 9. It?s a smooth and quiet ride. The safety features are awesome. I really like the radar cruise control where the vehicle maintains a safe distance from the car in front of you. Victor Thompson at Mazda City was absolutely correct when he said I would love this vehicle.

Absolutely delighted!

The Mazda CX-9 is a delight to drive. I looked at a lot of SUVs before making a decision, and I kept coming back to the Mazda. I really enjoy the comfort and luxury of the Signature trim, and the many safety features are terrific. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the CX-9 and would definitely recommend it!

CX-9: The only 3 -row crossover sports car

Hits all the right notes...MPG great...room for 7... dash looks way beyond cars double its price...drives like a 2 ton MX-5... the Machine Gray paint is the most amazing color seen on a car.

Great car for a great price

We chose this car because it feels higher quality than other vehicles we test drove. Also for only being a 4-cylinder it has a surprising amount of power.
