waited 8 years to get my hands on one, well worth the wait, considered getting rid of my cycle after the first drive in the 8, it's just that thrilling to drive never seems to be enough. Don't waste your time or money on an automatic. Have fun..

this is a great car, but if you dont take care of it, it will bite back. since its a rotary engine, it need more maintanace then your avg car. it really picks up speed after 3rd gear but its really slow in 1-2. for the price i got it, you cant beat that! and i love how the doors open, plus its a 4 seater!

I bought my 2004 Yellow RX-8 in 2006 and have never truly been satisfied. I have had problem after problem. First less than a year of owning it I stall at a red light. Come to find out there is a recall on the engine. I am by no means a mechanic but things I have noticed are severe shaking when in idle, rapid changes in RPM's while in idle, and slow acceleration/clicking noice while accelerating. I would recommend having your oil changed more frequently than every 3,000 miles with this car. If going for looks, this car is great, everyone comments and gives compliments, as far as reliability, I would not recommend it to anyone...

The RX-8 is the funnest car I have ever driven. It is not the fastest car, or the best looking but the thrill of driving it is unlike any other for the money. This car is for the true enthusiest because it is alot more high maintenance than your average car. If you arent patient enough to let it warm up before you shut if off then dont buy it. If your one of those people who buys a car as a form of transportation only you should probably buy a honda.. If your one of those people who buys a car for fun and transportation then the RX-8 is it. It puts a smile on my face every time I hear the beautiful engine climb to 9000 rpms.

This car is HOT - it will look unique and contemporary for years to come. When I purchased the RX-8 I considered a 350Z and a G35 Coupe but now after owning the RX-8 for a couple of years - I definitely feel I made the right choice. The others are boring and blend in on a parking lot's asphalt. The RX-8 is a blast to drive!!!

35k needs new engine...religiously maintained....warranty ended last month dealership won't pay for a thing

the rx8 is a great car it revs high and drives great. the seats are nice and sporty. the acceleration is responsive, but the explosive gears are the first 3. the ride is nice and smooth, even at 100 you still get a nice ride. the equipment is nice the navagation system is easy to use unlike others. it is considered a four door sedan so it saves you on ensurence, it is safe to you cant look in one place where there isnt a air bag. the isnt a beter car the the rx8

This is an excellent car. I have had a lot of fun driving it and it gets a lot of looks going down the road. Great car and even greater value.

This car is fun to drive, handels great, and it is beautiful. I do not like that when I go on vacation for a week the battery is completely drained. The trunk is so small, do not try and pick anyone up from the airport with this car because the luggage won't fit. The four doors are nice, easy in and out. Also, enigine has many troubles, but Mazda fixed them all with no questions asked. I'm very happy about the 100,000 mile transferable warranty.

I got a first model year RX-8, my biggest mistake. In the first few years it was in the shop more than my previous 12 year old MX-6. Now with 36K on it it has mellowed in the repair areana. It is a joy to drive. Good power but not over powered by a long shot. The engine is so smooth right up to the 9.5K redline it is sure to put a smile on any drivers face. (Keeping it full of gas, not so much)
