2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class consumer reviews

I just have to say never did I believe I would write a review on any car. This particular vehicle though has blown my mind! Never have I driven a car as stable or handles as well as this! According to some Mercedes owners I've come to find out they view this as a entry level vehicle, to them I say think again it's anything but entry level! Welcome to luxury, comfort, class, and SPORTY with a kick! Absolutely amazing compared to BMW 3 Series, or VW Jetta GLi's. It will run circles around these cars an I'm willing to bet outlast them all as well. Highly recommend this vehicle to anyone but teenagers...

The most reliable car I've ever owned. Very safe. I never had a problem with the car and it was great for everything I did. Also it was wonderful on gas, which is great for the price of it these days.

Amazing. Everything about this car is great. From the gorgeous interior to the breathtaking outside, this car is a perfect 10!

This was definitely the least reliable car I've owned. Other cars I've owned/driven are '93 Camry(new), '96 Mustang Convertible(used), '92 Explorer/Eddie Bauer(used), '87 Plymouth Colt(new), '82 Tercel(used). Among the long list of problems: Navigation system that would persistently black out or provide erroneous information; a radio that would black out or stay on with no sound; glove compartment that fell off; intermittent wiper system that would not function properly; when backing out of the driveway, the mirrors would angle down automatically to see the road but not return to it's original position afterwards; one time the car surged forward while I was parking with my foot off the gas, luckily I only tore my wife's brother-in-law's lawn and not his garage wall; moon roof would not close; bulbs that would frequently blow out--headlamp twice, side marker twice, rear light once; power seat that would freeze in the backed up position twice; locks that would automatically unlock while the care was moving--three separate incidents; etc. You get the idea. I must say that this is a high maintenance car. I think my next car will be a Toyota again or a Honda.

We owned this car before and we sold it. I regret selling it and now I just bought a used one for a fairly decent price. I've owned other mercedes benz before and it doesn't compare to the C240. It is sleek and stylish. Also realiable and an overall great car.

This wagon was a very buy I tell ya. In the 3 years there have been some problems. My parking lights wouldn't come on. I took it back twice to find out that there were no bulbs, at all!! But after that, it's been fine. It gets adequate gas mileage. 27 MPG, but it's a heck of alot better than the 16 MPG I get with my Hummer H2 SUT.

I've leased this vehicle for 3 1/2 years. Overall it's been a pleasurable experience. There were a few minor snafu's but that was due to the specific mechanics at a dealership, not the maker itself. There's not a lot of head or leg room, so I wouldn't recommend it to a tall person. But it drives really, really well and it's fun to zip around the road with, plus you can fit into any parking spot with it since it's so tiny. Not enough trunk space though, but the rear seats do fold down to give you more than enough room.
