Most reliable and comfortable car I ever owned

This is a great family car, reliable and comfortable. Driven an average of less than 9k miles a year for 14 years. Well and regularly maintained.

My Mom?s first Mercedes - Awesome ride.

This is my 5th Mercedes, my 3rd E-Class and first used Benz. I?m an engineer so I?m obsessed with things mechanically. I love rugged and reliable cars but there?s enough of the 80?s in me to want some style too. My elderly mother needed a ?new? used car, and I wanted something safe that was reliable and cheap to maintain remotely. The 2004 E320 4MATIC fit the bill perfectly. Even though it was older it drove like a new car. The handling was excellent as was the gas mileage and performance. I love the V6 and it?s an earlier version of my wife?s 2016 E350. This engine is solid and requires very little TLC. This engine is rock solid and delivers outstanding performance for a car in this class even at 14 years old. The interior and paint held up well and looked like 3-4 year old car. The car is exceptionally quite and handles like a dream. It?s not a racer but it?s certainly got enough muscle and swagger and responsiveness to confidently handle the winding roads of Northern California?s wine country and coastal mountains. The 4MATIC is a huge bonus in the mountains too. Honestly the car feels better than many of the brand new rentals I typically get on business trips. The car is cheap to maintain and after market and OEM parts are readily available on the internet. The fuel economy is good and the interior is comfortable, quiet and luxurious. All in all a great buy.

One of the finest riding cars in the world!

This is my 4th Benz and second E class because they build the best cars! I drive 1000 miles straight several times a year and this is by far the most comfortable and pleasurable rides I have ever experienced in my 45 years of driving. Even after 15 to 16 hours straight my body is not worn out. The mechanical workings and materials used on Mercedes cars make them great used car values that last a very long time.

This car drives so smooth, has the sport package that adds extra luxury to this already beautiful, garage kept automobile.

The best or nothing!

I loved this car so much! I had the E320 sport version which can be exteriorally identified by the star embedded in the grille, and once you're in the drivers seat you're in awe by how many light years ahead this now 13 year old car was compared to today's vehicles! I had the luxury of adjustable suspension between comfort and sporty settings, a front end lift and the shiftronic transmission which allows you to choose between automatic and manual which I really loved! This body style doesn't die easily as you can see it's legendary design lasted many years past this, and did not age as most cars of this time seem to do. I loved the key fob because it had an ejectable vallet key which made leaving the car running while going to unlock the house or mailbox a breeze! It drove so well, I felt like I was 100% in control of the steering and acceleration which is getting scarce with the newer vehicles. It was built tough and solid; there's something about the strong thud of the Mercedes door shutting that just shows you're driving a mean machine. It also had navigation, which unfortunately I couldn't use very much since it hadn't been updated since 2005 and I didn't want to fork out $100 for a disc to update it, but that was my choice since I had a smartphone to use instead. I loved this car inside and out, and would still have her if she wasn't totaled :(

Fantastic car. very reliable. very safe

It gets great mpg for its weight and size. The inside is huge. You can carry just about anything with the seats down. Very comfortable. Great sound system. The only downside is because of its size, you have to slow down for corners. Smooth quiet car.
