Great car for the money
I have owned this car for two years and it is fun to drive. It has been reliable and strong. Looks great with nice styling. I drive this car daliy. The downside is that it's so low to the ground, and the tilt wheel does not come down far enough.

Worst car i've ever owned
I have had numerous problems since i bought this used car. the fuel gauge was not reading quarter tank full but it was actually on empty so my car stopped on the highway. engine light and battery light is ALWAYS on even if there are no problems. i have gotten a new tranny. my a/c broke and even when i fixed it, it will not keep me cool on hot days. problems with o2 sensors and catalytic converter. the steering wheel is stiff and it hurts my arthritic hands to turn the wheel. bucket seats are not comfortable. my sunroof had some mechanical problems and it was permanently stuck open. it rained one day and my car got wet. it has been permanently shut closed because it cost alot of money to fix. there are many blind spots and hard to see anything when changing lanes. i would not recommend this car to anyone because i have gone through so much in maintenance.

great on gas,and a very good car!
I own a 2000 cougar with the sport package.the car handles better than any car i've ever owned! It has alot of power for a small 6. (2.5L) and the only thing i didn't like were the stock tires.once i changed them, the car has been awesome.for the money it performs better than vehicles in the high $20,000'S!if you ever get a chance to test drive one i think you'll be surprised.if you like soft riding cars, your not going to like it. it's firm, hense the great handling. also i bought this car used 4 years ago with 35,000 miles on it,now it has 94,000 miles and other than brakes, battery, and front wheel bearings(normal repairs for a 90k car!)it has been very cheap to own!

Hot Hatchback
I own a 2000 Cougar. With its sporty exterior it really turns heads. However, the real deal is on the inside. The impressive interior is way ahead of its time and seems to be nicer than many 06-07 interiors in other vechicles. I love the leather seats and shift nob. The Cougar's high-points don't end there... its impressive handling and great gas milage (for a V6) make it a hot buy.
