LOVE MY CAR!

I have owned my 2003 Eclipse GTS for 13 years . Never have owned a more reliable car.. I was able to drive it in the snow and ice without chains or snow tires ( Being careful and having the know how helps ) Looking for another due to ROAD HAZARD ( Diesel tire destroyed underside of Car. ) on freeway here in Oregon Totaled my car.. Such a Devastation.

Fun car and fast but not as reliable as other cars

The car was a fun car to drive. It looked great but spent too much time in the shop for a Japanese car

14 years of the most reliable service.

This car was always dependable. I had no mechanical problems and I loved the sporty feel with a 4 cylinder engine. The hatch and fold down seats helped me many times.

Diamond in the Rough

I bought this car as my first car 2 years ago. At the time it had 146,000 miles and was a one owner car which made me feel comfortable buying it. The car looks great in the Sterling Silver Metallic paint, and its compact size. The only things that i dislike about the car are the low height and lack of power. So the overall height is super low, getting in and out of this car is not as easy as in a corolla, which will put some wear on the driver seat side bolsters over time. And the power...how do i put this? Theres not a whole lot of acceleration initially, so it makes passing a hassle but not impossible. All in all, i love the car and best of all its never given me any issues or left me stranded. I plan to drive this car til the wheels fall off (hopefully it doesn't come to that).

What it lacks in comfort it makes up for in style

I have owned this car for nearly 10 years and it has been very reliable. The paint on the interior of the door has scraped off from getting in and out of the car, but other than that it has held up really well. No major mechanical issues. As it is a sports car, it is lower to the ground and hard to get out off. The back seat is very cramped. This car is great for someone wanted an attractive sports car, but as with most sports cars, it is not comfortable for very long car rides, and hurt my back for rides >30 minutes.

Fun to drive

This is a small car with plenty of power. The manual shift makes it fun to drive. Very roomy for two persons.

It's.. ok

My dad bought me a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS Convertible as my first car. I had this car from 2012 - 2017 & overall it was reliable BUT.. When I would run my A/C it would leak into the floor & literally make a puddle. The car would burn the oil out quick & to make it worse my convertible top would leak and get the inside of the car even more wet when it would rain. Don't get me wrong this car was a good first time car to just commute to and from school, but it really shows it's age. The biggest problem I had was the spark plug in the car would go out & this was something to do with how the engine in the eclipse was made. Overall we got our money's worth from the car.

It was an decent Point A to B car but overall suck

My 03 Eclipse was the first car I purchased when I was 19 years old. It was a dream come true. Til every other week I had to buy tires because memphis heat and potholes kills not only your tires but also they'll throw your car out of aliment. So I ended up ditching the Eclipse for an 04 Mercury Grand marquis that can handle the potholes better than the much lower Eclipse.
