Extremely reliable

Mines old and needs work, although it runs perfectly with the check engine light on, and is very reliable when you need it. It's pretty fast as well for and old one, I got up to 110 and it doesn't even smell like it burns oil and it still runs amazingg

Disappointed

Nissan needs to recall fuel pump assembly for this car! 2 times in 2 mths fuel pump died . Yesterday i was driving in a major road 4 cars behind me , 55 mph speed limit and the car shuts down on me . I could've hurt people and myself!! Dangerous due to it melted connectors on top wear fuel can ignite ! Which is under my backseat

In six years I have not had one single major issue with this car! Has been very dependable. It gets decent gas mileage and blows mic cold a/c.

The Altima is economically sound.

I loved my Nissan Altima. I averaged 22,000 miles a year and put 270,000 miles on this vehicle with minimal repairs and regular service. This was a reliable vehicle. The wear and tear was minimal. The miles per gallon were great. The comfort of the vehicle was satisfactory. I would recommend this to anyone.

Best Car

I bought "Elsie" (L.C. = Little Car) brand new in May 1999. I am looking at new cars now only because she's 15 this May. I get the oil changed, the occasional tune-up, new tires, live in New England where we get every kind of weather, drive all-season radials. She's never let me down. Starts on the first turn of the key, goes through everything including off road when necessary and I won't trade her in 'cause no one would pay me what she's worth. I drive a stick and always have - this is the best car I've ever had. Comfortable on long hauls, heats up quickly in the winter, a/c cools quickly in the summer. I had to drive to CT from Baltimore in the hours preceeding superstorm Sandy and I rented an Altima. It gave me the same confidence as my own. I drove from VA to CT during Hurricane Hannah (Id10T, I know) and my then 10-yr-old Altima got us through some horrific conditions. In good weather, with a good road, she's a delight to drive. Can't recommend this car enough. My cousin bought one a year ago and he loves his, too.
