Almost Perfect

Bought the loaded 09 Maxima with 10,000 miles. The Performance, handling is superb. The Electronics, Navigation and Bose Hard Drive and dashboard is the best. The Engine is quiet and powerful. The CVT transmission performs well, BUT it is noisy and with 27,000 miles I am to the point where it is seems overwhelmingly noisy and now I feel vibration through the gas pedal. I am getting worried ! The first 20,000 miles were a pleasure BUT the Premium Gas and Poor mileage is killing me

Best Combination of Sport & Luxury for the Price

I love the Maxima! It is the best combination of Sport & Luxury for the price. The exterior and interior is beautiful. The car is fully loaded and has just about every thing that a car can offer from Navigation, Bose audio system, 9 gig hard drive and one of the best iPod integration systems you find in a car. It took a little time to get used to the CVT transmission but i have come to appreciate it. The powerful engine responds well with CVT to deliver power quickly and whenever you need it. The steering is very crisp and delivers good feedback to the driver.

Incredible Car

Bought an 09 Maxima SV with the sports package and have totally loved it! Couldn't believe how it drove. From acceleration to the way it hugs corners, this car is truly a 4dr sports car. Very luxurious interior with cool tech features.

No More Maximas For Me

From day one the car drifts to right side, dealer align car 3 times, dealer aligned it out of spec to correct & still drifts, steering semms to fight you when on curves, car makes knocking noises coming from front and rear and the dealer nevers hears them, front suspension makes crunching sounds when driving over speed bumps or road dips. Replacing the cheap factory Goodyears may remedy handling complaint. The trunk lid sounds tiney and cheap when slam shut. Car body dents easy, needs body side molding to protect and Nissan don't sell after market molding. Car needs special Nissan engine oil at $12-$15/qt and requires high octane gasoline. I made a poor choice leasing this vehicle. Can't wait for my lease to end.

Love this car!

I traded my 2004 Maxima (which I loved) for the 2009 Maxima (which I love even more). It is a very comfortable car. I have all the bells and whistles and love everything! So far, no problems!

Fantastic car!

My wife and I just leased a 2009 SV and we love it! We previously owned a mercedes c230, and this car spanks it in every way. Comfort, power, handling, features, safety, cabin room, and even though the c230 is very nice looking I'd have to say styling as well. Highly recommended!

EXCELLENT LEASE VEHICLE

I only lease my cars - 36-39mos max. My last 4 cars have all been Maxima's and although I would recommend the 2009 SV, I am a little disappointed about a few features that were omitted - though might seem minor, were included in my '06 model and are certainly missed. 1) Powered/Retractable side-view mirrors are NOT included in SV - very nice feature when parking in a tight garage. 2) Pop-down sunglass holder above the rear mirror is NOT included. Again, had it and now miss it. 3) Passenger side AC adaptor on the side of the control panel near feet, again - why did Nissan eliminate when it was very convenient. Overall, I am very satisfied with the performance and value, just disappointed with missing features.

Great car for the money

I was driving passed my local Nissan dealer and this car cought my eye. I actually drove in to look at the Infiniti G37. The Maxima looked much better and had a much lower sticker price. I purchased the SV model without the tech pack (Don't need navigation) and the only thing I miss from my previous car is the memory seats. I think these should of been included in the price on the SV. The Ipod conectivity should also be standard in this day and age as I believe more people use these than CD's. On the whole I believe that Nissan have a real winner here and I am really pleased to see that so far the roads have not been flooded with them. People still ask me what car it is and tell me that it's odd that they have not seen more of them on the roads.

The Sexiest Car On The Road!!!

Luxury, Class, Elegance and Speed Personified! I am absolutely in love with my 2009 Nissan Maxima! I did months and months of research before deciding that the Maxima was the perfect car for me - great horsepower with even greater gas mileage, 4 doors instead of 2, spacious interior, standard moonroof, superb front-wheel drive performance to handle driving in any weather condition and not a car owned by everyone. The car turns heads everywhere I go and it has everything a luxury car should have without the hefty price tag. My only complaint is that for such a sporty car, the design of the electronics is much too basic. Regardless, I love, love, love driving my Maxima! My first purchase from Nissan and by far, my best purchase ever!

Max #7 - Good Job!

I have driven a 96 Maxima since I bought it in late 95. LOVED that car! I wasn't getting great vibes from the subsequent Max's until the '09 came out. I've had mine now for a little over 2 months. It's quite a ride! Not your father's Maxima. It's smooth, classy, powerful, and handles in corners like nothing I've driven before. And - it's getting better gas mileage than my 96! I really IS a four door sports car. To buy an Acura, Lexus, or even Infinity in its class is just paying too much money for a logo. I don't yet know about its reliability, but it's the same engine that was in my 96 (tweaked up quite a bit) and the 96 gave me no problems at all.
