don't know yet
So far the car when you first start driving it has a knocking sound coming from the engine area for a few minutes everytime I drive it. Didn't notice it when I bought it. Soon I will take it in to find out what it is. The sound of the car's engine is like it wants to sound like a sports car but can't really do it. My wife when she first drove in it asked me what is that noise. Also it's got a rough feel when you give it gas. Over all If I had to do it over I wouldn't buy this car.

I LOVE MY CAR
This is actual the 3rd car I have owned and it has to be my Favorite. I love my car, it has enough room and is one of the best looking cars I've come across. I am very picky when it come down to what I drive. The interior was suprised me cause it was like I designes it myself....lots of people as me if I paid extra for the pink stitching which I didn't I just love it and its me. It's great on gas.

Overall Most Satisfying Car I've Owned
I havd had my 2009 Maxima SV for about a month now. I may be even more satisfied with it today than I was the day I drove it off the lot. It has an excellent balance of features that I like: comfortable and controlled ride, quietness, great performance, great looks inside and out, and loaded with amenities. I would call it an entry-level luxury performance car with a sporting character. To this day, I look forward to driving it every time I walk up to the car.

The Best Max Yet
PROS: Loads of GO and loads of toys at an affordable price. Rides well, great fit, fuinsh, visability, love the tech package, great graphics, lighting inside and out, great looking wheels, runs on any gas and getting hi teens mileage (only 1000 miles so far and mostly stop/go driving, so I expect it will improve after break-in and more interstate mileage). I am a real estate agent, so need passenger room and this has it. Had 3 other Maximas ('87, '90, '93) and am SO happy for the reintroduction of the 4-Door Sports Car. Beats the pants off the V6 Altima for not much more money. Loved the Acrura TL, but too small and more money, so '09 Maxima is both a logical and emotional fine decision. Cons: Turning radius was better in my huge Lexus LS 430 I traded for this car. Would like to see power seat/steering retraction at exit, heated seats, 2-person seat memory and dimming side view mirrors without having to buy the Sport or Premium packages. Those should come standard on the SV over the S model. Minor annoyances for an otherwise outstanding car! Overall Review: Nissan is back on track with this car as well as the new Altima and Morano. Hard to downsize from the luxury boat, an '04 Lexus LS 430, but am having a great time with this car. Have had 3 average sized people and one larger guy in the car and no complaints about room which is big with me as this is my second office and my pathway to a paycheck as a Realtor. I do remember the other Maximas I owned and this one is hands down the best built of any of them. Fit/finish nearly as good as the Premium carmakers and well worth the price tag. Love the CVT transmission and lack of transmission "jerk". Put it into Ds mode and it really flies down the road. Navigation graphics are cool, Bluetooth works well, but hate Microsoft prevents my Windows Mobile device from being able to download the whole phonebook of my mobile phone into the car's Bluetooth memory. Overall, it has turned out to be a great decision and I look forward to the stares. "Yep, it's the new Maxima, go get one!!"

Best Sport Sedan for the money.
There are obviosly mush better cars out there, but about $20K more! Exelent car for it's price. Pros: To many to list! Things to improve on a Premiun Package: Rear folding down seats, Better Navigation, radio, and system info conrol from the steering wheel. (Eg. multifunction for the cruise control buttons when not in use??) Super Car!

Just plain fun to drive!!!
I have had my 09 for about a month now. Went with the sport tech package for the added handling. My last car was a CTS, had the sport/lux package, that use to be my favorite car that I have ever owned. Now it is the max. Only complaint so far is the hard drive needs to be more user friendly, i.e. easier to record into and from more sources than the cd player. Handling is really tight and fluid, tracs differently than my old CTS, but just as sure and impressive. The acceleration is impressive, much quicker off the line than anything in its class. Interior fit and finish are very nice, more features for the money than anything even close to its class. The paddle shifters are fun for the occassionaly wild hair, but the CVT in the sport mode is very nice by itself. The looks are muscular and sleek at the same time. Most folks have no idea it is a Nissan, then usually do a double take with the "wow" that was a maxima look on their face. Valet parked the car for the first time the other day, had to make sure the kid could operate the push button features, then asked if he would keep it close, i.e. by the door. He agreed with great pleasure, never got that with the CTS either. Next thing I noticed looking back from the resturant was all the valets and two other guys walking around the max all with looks of being impressed. Look forward to many fun miles with my new favorite car. Did I mention I did pull my old radar detector back out??

It is still surreal to me that I own this car
Last car: 96 Honda Accord 4 Dr LX New Car: 09 Nissan Maxima SV SP This car is seriously beautiful, I get a lot of eyes on the roads and heads turning, especially since I'm one of the few who have this car in my area. The 4 words that quickly come to mind when I think of my car is power, smooth, comfortable, and beautiful. I first saw the car online and I liked the new design but I was a little hesitant with the rear design, but when I saw the new Maxima in person it's look WAY better, especially with the spoiler on the rear. One of my favorite things about the Maxima is that the engine sounds "Mean." Don't get me wrong, it's not loud or annoying but it just sounds so... aggresive, and believe me, that's a good thing. The only thing I do not like about the car is that the rear windows do not go down all the way into the door frame, at it's lowest the window is still 3-4 inches visible.

Incredible Value
I bought the Maxima SV Premium with Tech Package for my wife last week and must say that I am shocked at all the features we got for our money. We have been looking at "luxury" sedans for a while now and could have spent a lot money to not get much more car. To top it all off the Maxima is extremely comfortable and spacious in the cabin. It is fun to drive for me as well with all the power and the handling of a smaller sports car.
